When he talks about his favourite movies this year he mentions Arrival, Manchester by the Sea and Moonlight. He says he hasn't seen Fences yet. Is that correct? What does he says afterwards?
He's with me. Haha. Arrival. Manchester by the Sea. Moonlight. Lion (?)

Thanks so much for posting this!
I didn't catch everything he said after he said Arrival, Manchester By the Sea and Moonlight. I thought he said something that sounded like Denial but I don't know of any film callled that so he must have being saying something else and I just heard it wrong.
He did mention LLL (and he said that he hadn't seen Fences yet) but only to say that he really liked his original mentions as his top three.
Did I hear correctly that he said he had kept a "dress" as a memento? I am picturing that short little pink number from Zoolander2... 😂
And lastly the whole segment about what fans say to him when they meet him... the part about parking tickets and trying to put a child into the car (and again I didn't catch what he said about his wife) - this is exactly why the only time I ever approached a celebrity was when we were at a play and he agreed to come out to meet us after, and they weren't just on the street trying to live their normal life. It must feel so invasive some times, when all they want to do is park the car and do regular everyday things we all take for granted as real life, to have to feel like you are on display and still performing for someone's benefit. It also makes me wonder how many times this has happened to him and he has asked them not to post it on public media or just told them politely "no" (and I will say that I fully agree with him doing this too).
Although very short this was a great interview. Thanks again for posting it.

I also thought he said Denial, but my English is not so good. There is a film from 2016 called Denial. DenialI think he's talking of the films of the year and not just Oscar nominees. He must have voted though. I have to watch the rest of the interview.

If this interviewer filmed the interview, why didn't he post the entire video??

Ooo - I remember hearing about this movie a while back (I believe we saw a trailer when we were watching another movie) and then it disappeared off my radar so I forgot about it. I am going to look it up and watch it hopefully tonight. Thanks for jogging my memories of it.
I am especially interested in it because my late BIL was someone who was instrumental in expelling David Iring from Canada. He was an immigration officer who was assigned the case when Irving crossed back into Canada at Niagara Falls. As a result of his fine work my brother-in-law was later reassigned to Ottawa to work on more difficult cases. He and my husband were extremely close as siblings and we had many long talks about the Irving case (and after that there was a DI site set up and Steve's name was prominent in that hate filled diatribe - a bit creepy but also a badge of honour in a way).
I have just now come back from setting it up to view this movie this afternoon. I see it stars Timothy Spall - a familiar name among British actors.
Glad this got me to look this up. And although it also has brought back some painful memories of Steve (he died not too long ago from a rare cancer) it also reminded me of how proud everyone in the family is of his efforts to thwart Neo-Nazis and their attempt to re-write history to suit their own agenda.

There was another interview where he talked about trying to make it into the loo and someone stopped him to adore all over him. He was like, "no, you don't understand. Please go away, this is going to get very ugly in a minute." 😂
