This is random & doesn’t pertain to TPotD but it’s just a flash so I thought I’d stick it here. It’s why he turned down Lost City of Z.

I think Gray has talked before about the reason BC had to quit the film. He was attached for some time and it was one of the projects I was very excited for but they moved the shooting schedule a few times and at certain point it was impossible for BC to doing it! Gray once also mentioned he almost doesn’t watch new films and that’s why he doesn’t know too many “new” actors and that the reason he hired, for example, Marion Cotillard for The Immigrant was also because recommendation by others and because he also liked her face. I love that’s also two of the reasons he wanted to work with BC. He is a visual artist so he notices interesting faces and that’s important for him. Not bland cliched pretty ones but the actual good ones expressive faces!
