Yes, I’m talking about it. I think it was the Jane Campion video because I can’t see it anymore. I am also seeing the note saying it was was removed.

He didn’t care for it too much, did he? 😂. Not sure I’ve ever seen zero stars before!

I read it early today. He absolutely loved TPoTD and wrote something new today about the film and I saw the link to this review on his account.
It seems it’s the conventional and very manipulative movie this year. The one critics end hating it but probably the Academy loves it,
I don’t know how much the Academy has changed in recent years. They have been adding a lot of international respected artists in the last 5 or 6 years (if not more) but who knows if it’s enough. Allegedly that’s why Parasite and Nomadland won. I haven’t watched the last one but the director is doing a Marvel film so I’m guessing there is certain accessibility on her. That’s the same case of Bong Joon-ho. His movie is brilliant but, like his other films, is almost a genre film and it’s funny and enjoyable. The other day I read a comment saying Chabrol’s La Ceremonie was the original Parasite and Chabrol was another art cinema filmmaker who just loved genre movies and was incredibly enjoyable but still his film is much more disturbing and morally ambiguous/repugnant. I mean contrary to the cartoonish characters in Parasite, the rich people in La Ceremonie kind of didn’t deserved what happens to them!
The point is, I think TPoTD success with the Oscars depends of voters being more intelligent, open minded and mature than 10 years ago!

And someone tested positive in Telluride,
It depends when they arrived but it’s probable she was already infected when they arrived, the test is positive only after 3 to 5 days after the exposure. Good for her for being cautious and follow the protocol.
I wish her a quick recovery.

I was searching for BC but the first person I saw was a certain gentleman with glasses and grey hair! 😉 Ha! The palest* Englishman jumped out at me at first (that used to be BC, but he’s apparently had a holiday somewhere sunny, so that leaves AA) And in the next pic I figured BC stand out with a dorky hat or giant scarf - nope! It was giant sun glasses 😂 *I’m one to talk. When I went to my first non-family gathering of the pandemic era last month, meeting up for an outdoor cookout with some high school friends I hadn’t seen in over a decade, one of them introduced me to her husband and said “see!? I told you she was the palest person you’ve ever met!” My northern Italian/Scottish/Irish heritage was apparently on full display, from the top of my strawberry blonde head to the tips of my very pale toes 😄. AA would seem downright tan standing next to me!
