Wow! It seems this is the whole announcement about Black Doves! The guy from What’s on Netflix suggested that he watched some footage. He mentioned Knightly was playing a different character but that it fits her great but that the series looked a lot like other British thrillers! I hope we get INDEED some Eric’s footage today! EDITED, Yep, they released a trailer in the event, deadline.com/2024/03/netflix-black-doves-cast-keira-knightley-ben-whishaw-1235865595/BC was, of course, in the event. Not in Black Doves trailer! Lol Maybe they didn’t released it today because they want all the attention for Eric trailer! 😉

The sad Twitter haters are already complaining that BC is making another of the same movies he always makes. 🙄 Someone even compared it to Sherlock, lol. I’m trying to find ANY possible way this story about a suffering NewYork dad in the 80s is anything like Sherlock. I can see it being compared to A Child in Time in a way, but even those two stories are very different because ACiT had the moving through time piece in it.
Are people really this stupid?

It’s a mystery and he will resolve it… or maybe it will be resolved by the police man who has the third credit in the cast, though! Or maybe it won’t be resolved at all!
Ironically, I remember that “fans” were very angry at him doing TCIT because “Sherlock” never found the lost child! He just sat there being sad!

In reference to QZ's question - yes, people are that stupid.
There are some people who will always see BC as Sherlock and nothing else. So of course all roles after that will be seen through that "filter".
That's their loss.

Remember that when it was originally announced Del Toro’s Pinocchio was winning awards and some award pundits thought it sounded too similar! lol
So it’s Sherlock but also Pinocchio, but also a dark comedy called Happy!, but also a video game called Heavy Rain and maybe also some obscure amateur project that almost no one has heard about! Without mentioning that it’s apparently the plot of all BC’s projects!
I voted for a Harvey/The Fisher King/Jim Henson bio/Etan Patz case mix so, yeah, it sounds like Sherlock! 😉

It’s also Eric Idle bio!
Actually there are a lot of Erics out there very happy of reading their name on the title and joking that it’s their own movie!

http://instagram.com/p/C41XIWPL9zP Also read the first comment by someone who read the script. I remember that when one of the actors posted excited on Instagram that she was in the show, someone else commented that he went to a casting call for it and that he really wanted to get a part because it was a a great and envidiable project for any actor.

Personally I’d like to see BC in the remake of The Prisoner, that spy tv show from the 60s with Patrick McGoohan. I still have it on tape. I loved that show and BC would be PERFECT in it. PERFECT, I say!
