Yes. Everyone seems to hate Timothee Chalamet and Bradley Cooper now. What happened? I saw Wonka over Christmas. Not my choice. It was a mixed age group family outing. Must say I liked it and was impressed with Chalamet’s performance. He has range and charm. Only thing I saw him in before was Little Women. He was fine as young Laurie but looked way too young to be playing him when he was older. He probably wasn’t too young. He just looks younger than his years. Don’t know what there is to hate about him - even though I do find his current choice of girlfriend a bit naff. Perhaps because they're everywhere.
On AW they call Bradley, Thirstley (Eddie Redmayne was/is RedCarpet). He's been campaigning rather hard during months. They accuse him of wanting an oscar. Apparently it's a crime. Also, Maestro is one of the baity biopics, there are more deserving directors and actors, Nolan's fans want all the awards for Oppenheimer?
Interesting thing, Scorsese is a producer.
Timothée isn't that good an actor, he didn't stop doing movies since CMBYN, he has a large female base? They don't find necessary another Wonka movie?
Who knows?

Chalamet is clearly good choosing projects and kinda says the “right” stuff about films and filmmakers. I think that’s why critics and cinephiles tend to love him but yeah, social media crazies are trying to make a backlash.
Probably, his new girlfriend is also a factor in the hate but that’s his personal thing. Recently, I have also seen some antisemitic hate towards him (I didn’t even knew he is Jewish!). Apparently some extremists were offended by a Hamas joke in a SNL sketch in which he acted! 🙄

Someone remember this Adam Sandler movie? I just remembered that he looks almost exactly like Bob Dylan there! Much more that the young two actors!

OT but it’s the kid they wanted for Dylan yesterday,
Talking about idiotic Film Twitter bullies!
And…
Noticed how the guy admits he “forgot” Oppenheimer! lol And the other suggestions of “good” bios! It’s obviously not the same person who wrote the tweet above but apparently it’s a sin for a new talent to not know “more” films and at the same time, Film Twitter barely knows old movies (by the way, the OP hasn’t watched Malcom X, I guess it’s considered a real old movie!). They also haven’t watched the Amy Winehouse bio! I mean the director already shot an actually lovely John Lennon bio.
EDITED I just checked and the Amy Winehouse scriptwriter not just wrote Nowhere Boy, the John Lennon bio I mentioned above but also the acclaimed Control! You know, another famous tragic musician bio. In this case, Ian Curtis!

Another random bit of information, I just discovered that the Coens brothers movie Inside Llewyn Davis is at least partially bases on the posthumously memoir of Dave Van Ronk co authored by Elijah Wald himself! They changed the names of the characters, of course!
I found this interesting because a few people just asume it’s a film about Dylan!
Anyway, it shows how brutal was the pro peace scene! Lol Actually, I remember the real Van Ronk in the Scorsese documentary being not very happy about Dylan stealing his arrangement of The House of the Rising House for his first álbum and his huge laugh when he tells that The Animals later stole it from Dylan and had the huge hit that Dylan didn’t achieved with that particular first álbum. They were very competitive! Lol

I just saw on IMDb that apparently PJ Byrne is playing Harold Levanthal. He was Pete Seeger manager who, according to the book, helped Bob Dylan to make his first TV presentation. He isn't a major "character" in the book but he is there and, more important, was there when Dylan played his electric guitar at Newport. He talked about Dylan immediately asking him about Pete Seeger whereabouts after he left the stage.

Oh, well! Good look to Norton! He is great!
I hope this means another exciting new project and not a Marvel movie but it could be also The Thing with Feathers.
EDITED: it says Oeate not Pete. Maybe he is playing Pete’s brother! 😉 Also they probably will delete the tweet!
Anyway, I really recommend the book. It’s really great. Especially if you are interested in music and the times.

I didn’t notice it or it was edited but it says now that they will shoot it in the summer so I’m guessing they move it. Maybe that’s why BC left it.
I hope we have some news soon about his future projects.

Disappointed but that's the say things go. I would have loved to see BC play Seeger.
Still if it had to be a choice between one or the other, I think I'd choose main character BC over supporting character BC, so it's a good switch.
A Thing With Feathers is a great book!

I was looking forward to this. It was something different with BC probably singing.
I hope it's How to Stop Time, finally.
Berger must have finished Conclave but I don't see him attached anymore to a project with BC. Perhaps there is more on Imdb Pro
Kurzel is apparently filming a series.
Edit I was talking about the possible project clashing with the Dylan film.
