imgur.com/a/G9ZeloPThat confirms it - he's a guest on the show. The man always finds a challenge intriguing! And if I recall correctly, the whole family was up on the Isle of Skye when he did this show (they were all sighted on the ferry I think).

I'm very excited about this! I'm thinking he may mention his interest in rewilding and how he's bought that property to do so (in some limited way, given how private he is).

I’ve never seen this show. Does each celeb get their own show or is it a mishmash of all the celebs that goes on for the whole season? Whichever, I can’t wait! More Ben! 😃

I’ve never seen this show. Does each celeb get their own show or is it a mishmash of all the celebs that goes on for the whole season? Whichever, I can’t wait! More Ben! 😃 Each celebrity gets their own episode and adventure, each in a different environment. At least that’s how it’s been in previous seasons. They get picked up: are joined by BG, dropped into some remote location, sometimes literally, and then camp out, have to make their way across a challenging landscape. They will typically forage or set traps for food, eat at least one “gross” thing and have at least one thing that pushes them to their physical limit. I’m looking forward to it (though I have to check on my streaming service subscriptions to see if I can watch it.)

Thanks, Hannah Lee! I was thinking of getting rid of my Disney+ subscription, but I guess now I’ll have to wait. Darn! Someone on Twitter said sometimes they release it on YouTube or wherever but I’m not taking that chance.

I just checked my cable company’s tv listings, and the show airs here on the National Geographic channel - which apparently I get! There’s also a National Geographic Wild channel, which I also get. I’ve never watched either of those channels, so watching Benedict will be the first time.

I just finished watching an episode of Running Wild - my first time watching it. The celebrity was Rainn Wilson (Dwight from The Office). He was hilarious! They were in the forest mountains of Utah. They climbed down rocky cliffs, climbed up rocks, zip-lined over a canyon, ate grubs, and caught a fish and ate it raw. Throughout, Bear asked Rainn about his acting career and his family. The whole time, I tried to picture Benedict doing those activities and answering those same questions. Since I’ve never seen the show before, I don’t know if he always asks the celebrities the same questions or does the same scary stuff.
The highlight, though, was when Bear told Rainn that they would have to swim into the lake to catch a fish - and do it naked so that their clothes stayed dry. So they took off all their clothes! Ha! Their body parts were pixelated, but still very obviously naked. We all know how much Benedict likes to be in water and be naked, so that would have been perfect for him!
