I checked Amazon Prime and I couldn't find anything about Running Wild with Bear Grylls. They had some older BG shows but nothing related to the show that has BC.
Can I ask anyone who does get to see it - can you describe any interesting conversations (especially bits about family and parenthood)?
Also someone on Gator's blog told her that it was evident that Sophie was on hand when BC went adventuring with Bear in Scotland. I know that tweets, at the time it was filmed, indicated the whole family was there at the time, but this person was hinting that Sophie appeared on camera briefly in the programme. I'd be interested if this is true.

RP, it’s not on Prime - it’s NatGeo so it’s Disney. But I have it set to tape and I promise to take VERY careful notes and to report back! 😃👍🏼

I don't know how/why they do this.

What do you mean, Magda? Why they take on the challenge?

I don't know how/why they do this. I can't speak for them, but I love rock climbing, rappelling and skydiving. It's absolutely exhilarating and when you're done, you just want to go back and do more! Even if you're bouldering/ climbing or rappelling on the same rock face, each time you go the route will be different. It's always challenging and exciting. It is also beautiful to see the world from this angle- you feel tiny, fragile and humbled by the magnificence of nature. This planet is so utterly perfect and the only imperfect thing is the greedy humans destroying it. Edit: oooh, that came out rather preachy! That's not how I meant the tone, so please excuse me if it reads like that, ha ha

What do you mean, Magda? Why they take on the challenge? Yes. It's an unnecessary risk.

That's not how I meant the tone, so please excuse me if it reads like that, ha ha A lot of these things are way out of my comfort zone, but I do love love love hiking mountains. You are right, the view is spectacular. And, since I live really near the ocean, hiking at low tide on trails that are underwater at high tide is really fun, too. Sometimes, there is even the added exhilaration of "will I get to the other side before the tide comes in or am I going to be stuck?" (honestly, it just required proper planning and timing) And, if BC couldn't ride horses too much in TPotD because of the insurance and liability, I bet the show is super duper safe about doing these things. Like, more safe than the average person (haha, ask me about my love of horseback riding and the multiple times I have fallen off). I do wonder what precautions and such they take - anyone on that "set" would be at risk, since they are all near a cliff or the ocean or whatever. It would be really neat to see some really detailed behind the scenes stuff (like how they did the fall in Sherlock). Seriously, though, if I have the right kind of safety equipment, I like doing stuff like this. Except skydiving. Not for me because I think I would die from heart failure (I mean, my heart is beating fast right now just contemplating it), but I can enjoy others enjoying it!
