Has anyone else watched this? I just did, and it’s terrific!
I loved Wham way back then, so I was actually reluctant to get a behind-the-scenes look at what really went on. I didn’t want the image I had of them shattered by the usual stories of rock stars drinking and drug abuse. But the documentary is nothing at all like that. I had no idea that George Michael wrote all those songs! What a talent!
It was really quite sweet, a look at the duo from when they first met and became friends as young boys, to their final concert before breaking up. Watching it brought back lots of fond memories of where I was when I first heard those songs.
You’re probably all too young to have been Wham fans, but apparently they were my age, so I was kind of their target audience.

I’m in the middle of it now and yes, it’s excellent! I adored George and was a middling Wham fan back in the day. I watched another bio of George just the other day - I think on Amazon Prime? It was also very good but a bit more wandering. He was such a talent! 🥰
