Still haven't had the opportunity to see Oppenheimer but Dan and I did watch Shadowlands (1993) the other night. The movie in its entirety is on YouTube.
It's slow paced but it's exquisite! Anthony Hopkins, Debra Winger, the beautiful English countryside! What a treat!
It was nominated for a whole bunch of awards and deservedly so!
Check it out if you don't mind slowly paced films!

I watched it ages ago! It’s a very traditional movie but very well made and the scene of the religious C. S. Lewis trying to console the orphan son of the Atheist Joy Gresham is quietly devastating.

I saw it when it came out in the theaters back in the day. I never heard so many people openly sobbing in the theater before! Grown men, weeping uncontrollably. I myself was a total wreck. Such an emotional journey!
I also remember it was sort of the antidote to Hopkin’s performance in The Remains of the Day, which had just come out prior (I think), where he plays the most rigid, controlled, emotionally repressed butler in the history of England, lol. Those two movies really showed off his acting skills (like anyone needed proof by then).
Debra Winger’s never been my favorite actor, but she killed it in that performance.
