The ratings on letterboxd aren't bad. The media is 3.7/5 and the mode, as clearly visible, is 4.

Can you explain that graphic (I'm not familiar with letterbox)?
What do the bars represent? And is what is the "1 FAN" label at the top mean?
Thanks

The plot sounds a bit like “The Road” by Cormac McCarthy.

Totally but apparently it's not so bleak.

Can you explain that graphic (I'm not familiar with letterbox)? What do the bars represent? And is what is the "1 FAN" label at the top mean? Thanks It's a bar graph generally used in Statistics. Each column corresponds to a number of stars, from half a star (left) to 5 stars (right). That is, you can rate the movie 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, ..., 4.5, 5 stars. The height is the frequency, that is the number of people who rated each number of stars. The tallest height corresponds to 4 stars (that is called mode, most votes were 4 stars). The media is the average (you add all the ratings and divide by the number of votes). Sorry if I'm beeing too didactic.
The 1 fan I don't know what it is because the likes are in other place and I also don't go much there.
So, with those ratings, the most often rate was 4 stars, the average, 3.7 stars. The median is 4, that means half of the voters rated 4 stars or more. Over 10 it's 8 or 7,4.
You have to take into account, though, that there probably were many Jodie fans voting.

OK. Thanks for the info.
So these are fan votes (rated in the number of stars).
I was thinking it was review ratings from critics.
So "letterbox" is a fan opinion site.
Gotcha! 👍

Another blogger. Direction Acting The End We Start From is a topical film, relevant to many aspects of today’s world, even beyond climate change. It details relationships, parenthood, and isolation, but above all, gives the message we should not lose hope. No matter how bad things get, we must keep going, and continue through everything life throws at us. More in the link. 4/5 loudandclearreviews.com/the-end-we-start-from-film-review/
