What do you think will break the cycle of harassment and SA?

A few years back, when teenagers having cell phones became an ordinary thing, high school boys here made the news because it was discovered that they were sharing intimate photos of their girlfriends. A boy’s mother found the photos on his phone and freaked out - mainly because her poor baby felt forced into participating. Oh please! The girls had no idea it was going on. It was like a perverted boys’ club. The boys had to convince their girlfriends into sending explicit photos of themselves. The boys then shared the photos with the other boys who had also shared photos. Nobody forced the boys - but they would only be shown girls’ photos if they added to it.

The high schools brought in counsellors to help the victims (the girls), but the parents lost their minds because the local tv news had covered the story! They said that it was child pornography! The news director had to make a statement explaining why they showed the blurred photos of the girls (where no one could be identified). They felt that too many people would think that the photos showed maybe low-cut or off-the-shoulder outfits on the girls, but no! I was shocked at what these boys had told the girls to do for the camera.
