Talking about old men that looks like teenagers. Can you believe that Wes Anderson is 54 years old? Anyway, the younger man in the image is the croupier! According to the narration! Any excuse for posting this picture!

I like to remind people that Tom Cruise is two months older than me.
I don’t think he’s had plastic surgery, though, because I’m sure he could afford to look better than he now does. What’s “off” about his appearance is his dark hair, which no longer looks good with his aging complexion. You see that a lot with people with dark hair who just keep dying it the colour it used to be before going grey. My aunts - my father’s sisters - went through that phase, too. They all had black hair and kept dying it black well into their eighties. It looked awful! It’s not a matter of having to accept grey hair, but rather dying your hair a colour that looks good on you.

He started his surgeries very young! At least the dental ones, Im not a specialist but I suspect he have had others but they are really good and discreet because, yeah, he can afford the best. He also probably knew when to stop, too. Not like Madonna!

He’s been public about his teeth! He has a broken or missing tooth with a cap on it (or some other kind of repair), and when he did The Outsiders he decided to let his broken tooth show to fit his character better.

I just saw this, x.com/benmsmith/status/1708515542217134469?s=61&t=zPi8LNXgo1ojcMDphmjG3gI agreed with the Vulture review that it was brilliant of Anderson to ending the series with this one because he ends what it looks like a long homage with a “surprising” racist tirade! He couldn’t be more obvious but even “obviousness” is difficult for activists who think the only answer to complex and problematic artists is censure. That’s the issue! Obviously, they will not make Dahl nor man like Dahl nor racism to disappear. They actually tend to make things worse! Because instead fighting real racism, they fight for obliviousness of the past. That will always end bad! It was ScreenRant that posted the stupid paragraph! Of course! Lol I suspected it when I saw the author and others were widely promoting it on Twitter hours after I saw this tweet. TBH I haven’t read it because I really don’t care for those kind of sites and I don’t want to give them more clicks! Apparently his favorite was The Swan, obviously, and don’t get me wrong I loved The Swan but this guy is making a list based on moralism. The one clearly against bullying is the best one. The worst one is the one with the nasty words that must be censored! The one in which we care for the well being of a character during the whole short just to discover at the end that he is an awful racist. The one in which the filmmaker made reference to the author (of the same story)’s bigotry which made sweet lovely brief appearances during the whole series. But that’s too complex for them. The bullied kid is good, the racist protagonist is bad! So simple! I think it can also be interpreted as a reason of why Roald Dahl’s books should not be censored. I remember an interview in which Anderson said he indeed left intentionally those words in Poison after being asked and again responded that he was totally against editing and censoring old books. Here he uses that ancient offensive language to criticize the author himself and ending his lovely project with a very dark uncomfortable tone. That wouldn’t be possible if he had used non-racist language or going for a harmless story! He criticized the author thanks to his own prose.

I think Dev is damned handsome but nobody takes BC’s place in my heart. And for you young people, Ben’s “lady” was no lady. She wasn’t wearing a slip, stockings, or gloves. No proper woman in 1959 would go out without those items, although she did have her hat. Wes should have consulted an old, like me. 😁 I noticed the lack of lady gloves right away. My mother wore gloves well into the 1970s. I had my own little gloves (and hat) to wear to church when I was little. We used to have a big department store in my city that had a glove counter for just those kinds of gloves! (There was a wig counter, too). I don’t know how you can tell there was no slip or stockings. His legs look really nice! And I think the dress and jacket would have been lined, so no slip would have been needed. I would buy those adorable shoes! And I did notice that they used a bit of padding to give him girly hips. Ha!

Can you believe that Wes Anderson is 54 years old? Wow! I'm much younger than him and look older! Not sure what to do with myself now. 😂 Um, will someone gently break it to him that the 'D' is also silent? It might ruin his day, though. 😂
