I just finished watching this 8-part series, and it’s fantastic! It has the time-travel stuff that I like, and a mystery, and 4 smart detectives. And there’s even a happy ending for all (no, that’s not spoilery - the whole series was leading to it!). I highly recommend it.
This series has something that seems hard to find (for me, anyway) - the characters are truly likeable so you’re always rooting for them. I hate it when the “good guys” are annoying and unlikeable.

I watched it last weekend. I liked it.
It is an adaptation of a comic. I found it to read it online. They changed basically all the story mantaining the four characters (Hillinghead, Hasan, Whiteman and Maplewood) from the different years (though one is 2014) and the corpse, but I'd say it's just inspired by the comic book. Hillinghead family doesn't exist, he's gay but there is no journalist. Mapplewood and her world have nothing to do with the show. Whitemore is worst than in the show. Hasan has no son. But the most important change: there is no Elias Mannix so no Stephen Graham's character and the basic story (which is Elias' story in the show) was absolutely changed.
I didn't read the comic thoroughly and as it is much weirder than the show I'll have to pay more attention to it and dedicate some time to understand it. The corpse isn't the time travel scientist.

I did notice in the credits that it was based on a comic. I’ll have to look it up.
The changes they made for the series make sense. I suppose they wanted to give the characters children/families/relationships so that the audience cares about them more. Those scenes were nice breaks from the science-fiction feel of the whole thing (which doesn’t appeal to me, even though I enjoy time travel stuff).
And I was VERY impressed by the lack of female nudity! When does that ever happen!? But we saw naked males (mostly corpses) throughout.

I just saw a post on reddit saying this is a copy of Dark, the German show also from Netflix and now I have to say that I can't not see the similarities. It's like they took the characters and basic elements (four periods, corpse) from the comic book and they added Dark. They made it much easier for the viewers, you see from the start that Elias is behind everything. But, it is very similar.
