It's interesting to read what they did to get those statistics because apparently Netflix doesn't reveal what its viewers watch.
I loved Friends when it was on, but I've never felt like watching it again. I've never watched House of Cards or New Girl - and I've never heard of Narcos! But I agree completely with Sherlock in first place! It's the only reason I even got Netflix.

That's really cool! House of Cards and Orange Is The New Black are probably going to dominate again in the next few months cause both have a new season coming up and Netflix always pushes them hard but I'm happy to see so many people watching Sherlock!
@mllmass (I don't know if I got the tagging right I'm on the phone) Narcos is excellent! It's a Netflix original series, not quite as high profile as OITNB and HoC, but it's my favorite of the 3 (and I really like them too.) It's about Pablo Escobar, filmed on location in Medellin and it's like 75% in Spanish which I appreciate. Season 3 will probably premiere in September.

I watched the first season of Narcos but just one or two episodes of the second one. I don't know why. Maybe because I found the two American policemen characters very boring. Clearly the Latin American cast is much more charismatic.
In Mexico the most popular series is Las Aparicio. I don't have any idea what it is? (I googled it and it seems it's a soap opera!)

Maybe because I found the two American policemen characters very boring. Murphy (the blond) is the worst. His presence greatly diminishes as the show goes on, I guess the creators took in the fan response to him - he was dubbed Steve "Bland Gringo" Murphy by many a reviewer and fan - and decided to move him into the background. Peña (Pedro Pascal) is a fan favorite though and he features heavily in season 2. The most popular show here in Finland is apparently The Bridge (SWE/DEN version.) I'm not surprised, it's an excellent show.

The blond is indeed the worst indeed. I think Wagner Moura is extremely charismatic compared to them. In the second season they have an excellent Mexican actor called Damian Alcazar who even when he is DEFINITELY not a handsome man he is a big movie star here. He specializes in social and political satires.

I mean they showed him from time-to-time but Murphy was clearly the main DEA character - in season 2 it's the other way around. Moura is the stand-out indeed, he's amazing. Some Colombian people seem to really dislike his accent which I can sympathize with but he's so charismatic that I don't even notice. I think Damian Alcazar is quite handsome actually. And I like him in Narcos. He'll probably be in season 3 quite a lot. I had no idea who was on the show before watching the first season (apart from Pascal who I loved in Game of Thrones) but there were quite a few actors I recognized and have liked in films before. I really like Manolo Cardona who portrays Sandoval (the vice-minister) and Paulina Gaitan (Pablo's wife) who I didn't even recognize as the same girl from Trade and Sin nombre. The cast is pretty great all around. (And so many hot men..... )

Ha! I think I've mentioned this before, but the month after I got Netflix, I noticed that my internet bill had skyrocketed. I called the company to report the mistake, but they told me it wasn't a mistake, and in fact my real total was three times what they had charged me. Apparently there's a law (thank goodness!) that forces them to set a maximum they can charge for Internet. They then asked if I'd recently gotten Netflix. I remember thinking at the time "But I'm only using it to watch Sherlock all day, every day". They gave me a bunch of options to keep my internet cost down - including getting alerts when I'm getting close to my monthly limit. That would certainly have been the sensible thing to do! But instead, I told them to switch me to their "unlimited" plan. And it was all because of Sherlock on Netflix!

Most actors are Mexicans and the main character is played by a Brazilian and it's pretty obvious but who cares? They are doing a great job.
