What’s the fan name for Vincent/Eric slash? Vinic? Ercent?
We’re getting into weird territory now. 😂

My 20-year old interviewing for a summer job at a movie theater.
THEATER MANAGER: What's your favorite movie? MY KID: Dr. Strangelove THEATER MANAGER: Oh, he is my favorite Marvel character!

The other day on reddit, someone put as an example of bad movies with gorgeous photography those of Kubrick. What are they watching?

No contest for me - Barry Lyndon.
And I say that even though many of his movies are in my most favourite lists.

Maybe Eyes Wide Shut? Though I never saw it.

No contest for me - Barry Lyndon. And I say that even though many of his movies are in my most favourite lists. It took me years to like and understand Barry Lyndon but once I started studying it and learning more about it (I’m dense that way), I absolutely fell in love with it. I think it’s his best movie, too. Deep, slow, complex, and very sad. Stunning cinematography, costumes, acting, just all of it. I watch it every time it comes on.

I just can't get beyond the horrible miscasting of the lead actor.
Ryan O'Neal was just... so bad. In the annals of movie casting it is right up there with AL Pacino as a revolutionary war hero and Kevin Costner as Robin Hood.
EDIT: After considering QZ's impassioned review of Barry Lyndon, I'll have to give it another go, just in case I've been wrong all these years. After all, sometimes first impressions can be changed. I hated Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World the first time I saw that and now it's one of my most favourite films!

Eyes Wide Shut was actually a very good movie.
Not one of my favourites, but very emotionally intense and great visuals. And surprisingly Tom Cruise was very well cast.
