The only part I thought sounded improbable was his quote afterward ("I did it out of, well, I had to, you know".) When have we ever heard him stumble over his words and mumble this way?
I always love the comments on the Onion AV site.

The best thing about this video is that they went to a lot of effort into finding Sherlock clips to go with the report!

Hah! That's great!
There was a mention of BC's good-deed doing/heroics on slate.com today.
They do a weekly quiz "do you think you're smarter than a Slate editor?"
One of the questions was: which actor jumped out of an Uber vehicle in London to aid a food delivery rider who was being mugged?
- Alden Ehrenreich - Channing Tatum - Aziz Ansari - Benedict Cumberbatch

Did anyone catch Jennifer Jason Leigh on The Talk today? While they spoke about Patrick Melrose, they had the poster of Benedict in the bathtub as the giant backdrop.
I've never watched that show before, and likely never will again, but it seemed odd to me that they didn't have even one person on the panel who had watched PM. They didn't even have to have watched the entire series - even just the episode where they got the clip they showed of JJL. I think they could have done a tiny bit of research to prepare for the interview by sitting in front of a screen for an hour!

Wow! I see they have the episode on their site. Maybe I will watch it later. It's incredible they didn't bother to watch one episode. Also... ONE HOUR!!!! I have seen interviews of Jennifer Jason Leigh and she seems very shy, especially on talk shows. I imagine it should be more awkward if those women didn't even knew what she was promoting!
