Is this the same movie they were filming last year or is this a new one?
I see Paul Bettany is in the cast. I’m currently watching “Manhunt - Unabomber”on Netflix. Bettany plays the Unabomber and he is terrific. Would recommend it.

It's the new one. BC filmed his scenes of the one that will be released this year and now, I think, he is shooting the second part (to be released in 2019).

I'm a bit worried for the upcoming Infinity War (part 1.) Not because I think I'll dislike, but because everyone and their uncle has such expectations for it but it is a part one! Deathly Hallows part 1, Mockingjay part 1, what have you, they tend to not be as highly acclaimed as part twos... (Though personally I prefer the part ones in both of those examples!) So I hope no one expects some kind of a neat plot that's tied up by the end! I almost keep forgetting the Infinity Wars we're getting now is just half a movie... But good to know Strange is in it, I always assumed he would be though!

Back to the Future (Part 1) was highly acclaimed and if I recall Part II was not so well received (a main criticism seemed to be that it felt too transitional - even though that actually was its real purpose?!). But by the time Part III came along it all fit beautifully together, so now the trilogy seems to be accepted overall as a classic. When individual films are part of a larger story arc sometimes it takes a while for all to be revealed! The better critics will know this, I think. Just as a point of curiosity - aren’t the Avenger movies pretty well “critic proof” They will get a certain audience no matter what, won’t they? I am asking as someone who isn’t a fan of such movies. I hope they do well enough for the company to keep making them until they are ready to spring Doctor Strange Part 2 and that’s prettty well my only wish! :-))

I didn't mean the first movie of a franchise, I meant a single movie that is divided into two. Like is all the rage with young adult book adaptations (Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Twilight, Divergent...) Movies that are part of a trilogy are still entire movies, and should work as such as far as narrative structure goes, but part ones of a large movie split in two work differently and that's why I don't think part ones tend to be as highly acclaimed, since they by default lack an ending of any kind. Though I think Infinity Wars may be a bit different, it wasn't as if they were following a book (I mean comics yes, but the structure in them is different due to being more episodic) or anything.
