That's a very interesting article. I've only seen 6 of the shows on that list. It's so nice to have little Sherlock in there with the big shows!

I've seen -
The Simpsons (a while since I have seen this one - maybe years - but I did like it when I watched it sporadically)
Orange Is the New Black (great cast which is really a big part of it's appeal to me) Grey's Anatomy (really frustrated with this one - binge watched it starting last year and I have to say the recent cast is dull, dull, dull and the writing is circling the drain... it is on a slippery slope to me of being unwatchable)
Sherlock (cast, writing and everything else GREAT!)
American Crime (watched this just because of this year's Emmys and I think this last season was the weakest of the three - the cast however is really, really good! And the first two seasons were spectacular.)
Saturday Night Live (watched this on and off since it began - only Cumberbatch got me to watch it nowadays)
To me one of the most perfect casts in all of TV history was the one of Frasier. They were perfectly cast for their roles (and in 11 seasons I can find only a handful of duds which is remarkable) and unfortunately because of that show I compare every comedy show to them since then and find any that I have sampled really "wanting" and not up to snuff. So as a result I just don't watch comedy TV shows any more. it really spoiled comedy for me. But at least I have Frasier on DVD!!!
PS: another show which had a perfect cast is Fawlty Towers! That was also pure perfection.

Grey's Anatomy (really frustrated with this one - binge watched it starting last year and I have to say the recent cast is dull, dull, dull and the writing is circling the drain... it is on a slippery slope to me of being unwatchable) I started watching Grey's Anatomy just after it started airing (maybe 2006 or so?) and I loved original MAGIC (Meredith, Alex, George, Izzie, Christina) and I even liked the Mercy West folk that came many seasons later (especially Avery) and other additions like Callie and Arizona. But I just can't with this show anymore, I think I stopped watching around season 8. They should have stopped when they were ahead. I also can't deal with Big Band Theory. I hate that show that everyone else seems to be gaga over. Sherlock & John are of course amazing, and the Orange Is The New Black ensemble is sooooooo good. Game of Thrones too although season 7 was a huge disappointment (and I'm an obsessed fan.)

Never seen the Big Bang Theory or Game of Thrones.
Yeah, I hear you about Grey's Anatomy. I pretty well have come to the end of my rope about that show. It should have ended a while back I think. I doubt we will watch it any more (especially since we have found much better replacements for our entertainment).
Sometimes though a show can suprise you. Both Dan and I had decided that we were pretty fed up watching Homeland and then we took a chance and watch this past season and LOVED IT!! I don't know if this rediscovered enthusiasm for this show will last if we watch the next season but it really threw me for a loop that it suddenly made a 360 and became interesting again. For me since the Damien Lewis character left the show just was getting more and more muddled but this last season was crisp and much more direct so it really picked up its socks. Doesn't happen often but it did for us with this show.

Both Dan and I had decided that we were pretty fed up watching Homeland and then we took a chance and watch this past season and LOVED IT! Yeah? I gave up on it a couple of years ago (half-way through season 4, or maybe I finished season 4, I'm not sure) because the Carrie vs/and Brody dynamic really carried the show for me and when it ended I couldn't find as much interest in it anymore . I thought extremely highly of the show in seasons 1-3, it was one of my favorites. Maybe I'll give it another chance at some point. Oh and The Americans was on that list, that show is AMAZING. Stranger Things too, season 2 is to be released soon.
