I wonder if Benedict would have taken on a Canadian accent in that role? I don't know where the story is going, but if Grace and the psychiatrist are going to be a couple, then yes, Benedict would be too old for the part. So far, all the psychiatrist has done is sit, ask questions and take notes. I kind of don't want him to rescue her - I want her to do it herself. She's an amazing character!

No, they don’t become a couple and I wouldn’t say that he saves her. In the book, his story makes an odd, but very funny turn, and takes up a larger part of the story as it progresses. Of course, I have no idea how they will handle it in the series.

Wow they asked to Woody Allen! I’m sure the objective wasn’t exactly to know his opinion here! And Allen delivered with those quotes.
The Oscar campaigns would be a circus, doesn’t?

Yes, it would be tragic for all those men innocently winking at women at the office. This makes me want to scream! Was he deliberately not paying attention? The HW situations happened between women and their powerful, scary boss or potential boss. They weren't just two co-workers sitting in adjoining cubicles. And maybe it's about time that Woody Allen learns that we women don't like it when our boss winks at us! This goes back to the old excuse of "I was just paying her a compliment by telling her how hot she looked in that dress". We are not flattered by such comments, even if we smile and look like we are. We find it creepy. If you wouldn't do it to another man, then don't do it to us, either.

He directed a few films produced/distributed by Miramax, including the one for which Mira Sorvino won her Oscar. TBF he has always show very little interest in award campaigns but yes, the contact was there.
If not witch hunting there is a a lot of virtue signalling out there and it's very nasty. I mentioned Joe Wright claiming he always avoided Weinstein just to be remembered at the end of the interview that he cast Casey Affleck for his next movie. Then it's Ellen Barkin mentioning Kate Winslet as an example of virtue for no thanking Weinstein when she won the Oscar (she said she knows the story behind scenes) just to receive tweets reminding her she is in the new Allen movie and worked with Polanski years ago. Even Rose McGowan. Apparently there is a video of James Corben telling bad taste jokes about Weinstein. She posted that they are friends which I think it's slightly unfair at least she knows he is indeed involve in a concrete way with the abuse. I mean officially the guy was friend with Obama! In the comments someone posted an image of an interview of her defending Victor Salva, convicted child rapist. She said he is very nice to her and the issue is not her business!
I'm beginning to think the reason Weinstein is hardly judged is because the bullying and not because the sexual abuse. It's really ugly and the best thing to do is keeping a low profile!

OMG I read about it now. Rose McGowan is a bit cringeworthy. All her campaign for #rosearmy I think the abuse is so extended in Hollywood that if you start scratching the surface you'll find anybody acted with an abuser and defended someone awful.

That's my point! The first thing I thought when I saw Ellen Barkin was posting her rant against Weinstein on Twitter and said how much she hated him was that the last movie I saw her was a Weinstein film, Hands of Stone. I checked and he actually bought the movie after she was hired so fair enough but it shows how easy is to end in a Weinstein film and working with someone like him even when you are trying to avoid him!

Lysette AnthonyLysette Anthony rape allegation now from the 80's. I was always a bit surprised that BC worked with Weinstein again after calling him a disgusting man, or a revolting man or loathsome man or an equivalent in an interview (just remember it was said rather than when). Without clarification, I thought it was a foolish thing to have done at the time, when Weinstein was seen as such a powerful figure in the industry but also supposed it reflected something very unpleasant. And completely off topic, CCW, out of curiosity, what's the significance to changing "Ozymandias" to "Ozyman-dotard"?
