There's no new information here, but the video seems new!

I was just reading an article ranking the Marvel movies from worst to best, and Doctor Strange is #12. They have Guardians of the Galaxy at #1. I know that these movies are not for me, and I only watched and enjoyed Doctor Strange because of Benedict.
Still, I was curious to see what was so great about Guardians. I've tried several times to watch it, but I just can't get through it! It's SOOOOO boring and dreary. I even decided to just skip to the last half-hour, in case it got more interesting later on. But it was even worse, with the ending being dragged out. It was as if they thought they were getting encores and just kept coming back to do a little bit more. At that point, it sounded like they were standing around making up their lines as they went along.
I will admit that the tree character was really cute, and the 70's soundtrack was fabulous (I bought it from iTunes). But I don't see how this is #1!

They aren’t my kind of movie either. I have only watched DS and one other (as a test for myself to see if I could get through one) I can’t remember the title exactly but I think it had Wintersoldier in it. It was OK but nothing that made me change my mind about superhero movies in general. But I didn’t hate it (the Winteersoldier one). Just mildly amusing.
DS was different because of BC being in it (and I liked SD’s directing and the supporting cast as well). But I won’t be seeing the Avenger ones even with BC being in them or the Thor movie. I can watch the highlights on something like YouTube when his performance in those films are put on there.
I don’t understand the love that Ironman movies get quite frankly. I started to watch that one on an air flight one time and couldn’t stand it! I didn’t find anything appealing in Tony Stark’s character at all and the movie seemed to be a complete mess as far as the part I watched. I finally gave up and turned on some music and starred at the bulkhead wall instead of finishing the movie.
Dan watched some of it too and gave up on it as well (and he actually read a couple of Ironman comics when he was a little boy and knew something about the character beforehand). He didn’t like the Wintersoldier one at all and was only mildly amused by DS (but he did agree to go to the next DS sequel when it comes out - just for me).
Having said that I can appreciate that there are many, many enthusiastic fans of this genre and people who are really excited about the continuum of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Doctor Strange’s place in it. And I love that BC is a part of such a huge franchise and had such a big hit with DS in the first movie. And I wish him continued success with any sequels that come out!
To me it means that he can do more things in other genres - off-beat things and smaller projects with SunnyMarch. So I actually love anything to do with DS! Not only for BC’s performance but also for what a successful franchise deal like this can mean to his overall career.

We’ve heard this interview about Benedict before, but it’s still interesting!
I’m just now watching Doctor Strange again for the millionth time. It’s on tv so often that I can’t NOT watch it! I’m usually doing something else at the same time (like now, being on my iPad), but still I find myself saying lines ahead of the characters.

It’s nice that the video is getting all this attention, but it’s not exactly new. Didn’t we see it when it first happened? I think Scott Derrickson has forgotten that he posted it before.
