Why he wouldn’t have female friends? He is not Mike Pence! 😉

I also love when he gets a chance to say lovely things about his friends and colleagues. He’s so articulate (almost poetic) and (as you said) effusive in his praise.
No wonder everyone (at least anyone with one ounce of heart and common sense) loves him! He is an absolute daring!!
:-))

Sorry, sgev, I missed your response until now. I could be wrong (chief, lol), but I’m pretty sure I don’t see as many other male actors who have so many female friends. It’s nice. I wasn’t saying he shouldn’t have female friends. Of course he should/could/can. I’m glad he does. I was just saying it’s unusual and it makes me even more fond of him. If that’s possible. Name me another actor who hangs out with so many lady friends and supports their endeavors.

I am not an expert in knowing friends of actors, including BC, but I consider friendship between men and women something common. Maybe there are difference within generations or cultures. I mean he was in an all-men school!
He chose to work with a good number of female directors before all those Hollywood franchises. And of course he also went for a female director for his Hamlet and promised to include more women in his company future projects, tho.
