So is this Dr. Strange related??? :-)) OK I decided to be ambitious and googled this for myself star-sanctum.com/treats.phpInteresting. It seems it is a convention (and they have a Marvel focus among some other franchises) that only let a limited number of people in (under 600). It is the first year for this organisation. Pretty nice convention coup to get a big name like BC for their first outing! :-))

Apparently the entry is £1000. I guess that's why it's limited to a few people!

That’s for the gold ticket but even the lowest price one is still pretty hefty (£680). But they do have a raffle of 15 “gold like” passes that you can get a chance to win if you buy a lowest price ticket (and then they will resell the ticket you bought) which is pretty sweet). It seems like a pretty good deal (even the most expensive ticket) if you are into that sort of thing. If I were (and I am not) I would like the less crowded aspect of it. And I would like that if I were one of the celebrities attending too (which I am definitely NOT! LOL!).

Cannot help thinking that asking (and paying) this amount of money for such an event is insane. I am wondering what kind of people are willing to spend it: are they "normal" fans or obsessed ones? I wouldn't pay it even for the chance of having an exclusive dinner with Benedict, lol. Well, maybe if it were for charity, like this tea thing...

I have to say I agree Miriel. Good luck to those who attend and I really hope they habe a fab experience. But it wouldn’t be for me. I’d be prepared to pay a fair bit of money (not Star sanctum levels!) for tickets to see BC act but not to meet him. I find the idea of paying someone to meet you a bit cringey. I know it would make me feel really uncomfortable and I wouldn’t enjoy it.

Either obsessed ones, or rich ones!
Speaking of obsessed...is Lichtblickpink who posts about BC on Twitter, the same as Vixypink, the Australian fan who followed him places and thought she was dating him? I just noticed the similar name and wondered.

I don’t think so! Lichtblickpink seems a normal fan to me.

Sorry but it’s their money and I don’t see any reason to criticise anyone for spending their money any way they want if it isn’t harming anyone. It certainly doesn’t make them insane and so what if they are well off enough to do this. When I see criticism of some of the fans of BC from the Haters who do this, (and they do this sort of thing ALL the time) it just sounds really petty and when I hear it on here it gives me the same feeling. Fan conventions aren’t for me at all but if it is someone’s thing, more power to them if they see BC and anyone else they want to! It’s harmless and fun and they are enjoying themselves. Live and let live and to each his/her own.
And I agree with Sgev, Lichtblinkpink seems like a pretty normal person from what I have seen of her tumblr site. The other person... not so much and I would have to think that if she was blocked from seeing BC at an event before, she wouldn’t be allowed to attend other functions he was at now (and as far as I can ascertain Lichtblinkpink was at the most recent LL).
:-))
