Just thought this might interest some folks here - www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-43387791I wonder if this means the possibility of BC being there has just increased??? Scotland is so close to home for him and Sophie’s mum lives in Edinburgh so she might be able to accompany him to the premiere??? (While MIL looks after the boys???). :-))

I like that they gave Benedict something cute to do for this video - demonstrating how the IMAX screen looks.

There were plenty of news items about BC’s interview mentioning Averngers: Infinity Wars but this one in particular caught my eye on the news feed... www.nwitimes.com/entertainment/movies/benedict-cumberbatch-no-plans-for-second-doctor-strange/article_d9e1e1ca-0aba-5dab-ad4a-721f9c032742.htmlThe headline was completely misleading “Benedict Cumberbatch: No Plans for Second Doctor Strange” and of course that isn’t what he said at all. He is quoted correctly in the body of the article but the lead is made to seem like it backs up the headline (so I see where the headline writer got the idea). It is telling though that the only direct words the writer can initially use from Ben’s quotes is “no” because to use any more the writer would have to contradict his lead sentence. As an aside when I first saw this article, my mind’s eye misread the name of the newspaper and I did a double take because I thought it said “nitwitimes” and after reading the headline and the body of the article I was thinking... aptly named publication! Then I wondered if it was some kind of a parody newspaper - like the Onion, but sadly I googled it and it is the second largest newspaper in Indiana apparently! Wow! I would have thought their standards would be a bit higher than this garbage! :-))

I can't believe that the first Infinity Wars is so close already! Doesn't time fly!
Of course there's going to be Strange 2, but there was no chance BC could/would confirm anything before it's official. But they'll always be the likes of that article with its silly headline. "Nitwitimes" indeed! I bet it's really nicknamed that too.
Re what BC actually said, I must admit that I have personally presumed that the delay re official announcements must reflect some degree of uncertainty re how the MCU proceeds going forward. They always, I think, thought that Black Panther would do well, but were waiting to see how well. That it's been as huge as it has been (haven't seen it yet myself), though, must have taken them by surprise. And if anything was going to rewrite intentions, and imperatives re when (and what order) stories are told in, that was it. I always thought Strange was going to take over as the leader of the gang, as it were, in place of RDJ. But I think that may have changed now.
Looking forward to the Infinity Wars though. BC can't be in it for long, re either or both films, because he just wasn't over there long enough to film much. Anyone sure how long he was in Atlanta for?

Based in the time in Atlanta, I’m guessing he will have a prominent role in the first movie (he was there for at least 2 months) and shorter in the second one which kind of fits with some comments by one of the directors that I saw recently. He said characters who doesn’t appear too much on screen in the first movie will be central in the second (and viceversa). That was their way to give enough time to everyone.

I think so, too. He's not very big or centrally located on the poster, but on the sidelines with all the characters that don't have standalone movies. Black Panther is larger, and Spiderman is front and center, and both are newer characters than DS. He is prominently featured in the trailer, though.
If they would just announce that there will be a second movie at some point, there wouldn't be silly articles like that. They announced the Spiderman and GOTG sequels while the movies were still in the theaters. The delay doesn't make sense, unless the knowledge that DS is returning would be a spoiler for the IW movies.
