I'm actually quite interested in the "A Discovery Of Witches" too. That's got Matthew Goode in it, and I noticed it was in production a while back. I haven't followed it, and this is the first reference I've seen of it now it's presumably finished. I'll have to go check out when it's due to screen and if I'll be able to see it.
It'll be interesting to see what news there is of buyers. And with Sky showcasing the series for that purpose, to effect, it sounds as if they're the primary beneficiary of "sales". And sales are likely to be huge, I should think, even before likely awards/Emmy traction. I wonder how much of the money will filter back to SunnyMarch?

Did you see the news about StudioCanal selling for FIRST time ever a movie to China for theatrical release and it was The Child in Time! That is massive for them but also for Sunny March. Maybe it wasn’t promoted so strong like this and clearly it’s something much more humble but I remember StudioCanal saying it was selling well since the beginning.

Yes, I did notice that "The Child In Time" sale. I thought that both surprising and good too. And of course they ran the last Sherlock episodes as theatrical releases as well, to effect, didn't they? It pretty clearly reflects BC's high profile and popularity over there. I don't think for a second that the Chinese distributors would have bought TCIT without him.

The Truth About The Harry Quebert Affair Ah! I didn't know it was being adapted as a mini series. I read it when it got published. It was so talked about that when I read it I thought it was totally overrated. It was sold like the second coming of Proust (I'm exaggerating) Too convoluted, lots of twists. Just a thriller. I just found this review with which I agree. The Guardian
