This is a very interesting explanation to the opening political sketch about Roe v Wade, slate.com/news-and-politics/2022/05/what-saturday-night-live-got-right-about-alitos-leaked-draft-opinion.htmlSadly this situation was easily predictable after Trump had the opportunity of naming two Judges. I admire Ruth Bader Ginsburg a lot but I think she committed a huge error in not going to home during the Obama administration! (I understand he asked her to retire). I hope it doesn’t sound offensive! She just miscalculated and probably thought a Democrat would won the election.

In the Chuck E Cheese skit, he does say “oh,” at one point, I think realizing it was still his turn.
But these are examples of what happens when you have a live show. People forget and flub their lines, accidentally come in at the wrong time, etc. It’s not a big deal. I saw Judy Dench onstage in London and in the middle of her monologue she stopped dead, said, “wait. That’s not right.” Then she took a minute to recollect where she was and continued. I mean, if Dame Dench can mess up her lines, I think other people can, too. 😂

I’m sure he had some errors because as you said it’s a live show but that “Ohh!” was intentional and part of the sketch! He was distracted by Pasqually’s sexy shorts! Lol
At least there is another “Ohh!” I didn’t noticed, of course!

Great article, sgev, on constitutional rights. I think every liberal in America right now is a little pissed at RBG for not retiring when she ought to have done, even if it means the court would not be balanced anyway, after Trump and The Federalist Society’s treacherous court packing. There’s an arrogance to people in these lifetime appointments, and an ambition to keep working despite the good it might do to step down. Just another argument for term limits on federal judges. 🤷🏻♀️

Another example of errors in a live show from that same episode, Arcade Fire actually stopped and started their last song like three times before getting it right! Not every act play live so that’s cool to me!

I see this has already been said! Haha!

One thing they mentioned in that awful podcast was that at one point, Benedict didn’t say his line when he should have and had to get a prompt from someone off stage. That might explain his looking off to the side. One other thing that was mentioned was that there was supposed to be a running joke where someone comes and leads him off stage after each skit, as he looks around confused. In the live show, we only see this once (the prison song skit) so nobody realized it was supposed to be a bit! People were commenting online that it was adorable how Ben was led off by an assistant in that skit. I also assumed he got confused there. If we'd seen it after every skit as we were meant to, it would have been clear that it was a running gag. At one point, he starts chuckling and the mother says "Wait. I am not finished yet." And, I think he says "Oh." That wasn't at BC, it was at the audience, I think. They started laughing before she finished reading her sign, so she was letting them know she hadn't reached the punch line yet. I don’t think the woman who led him off stage was a running gag. It’s her job to lead the host so he/she doesn’t lose time finding the exit and entrance to the next sketch; and the women in the podcast seem to be familiar with her. They knew her name and they praised her work. They just thought it was funny that at certain point, he was trying to go to one side and she was pushing him to another. At least, that’s what I understood. Maybe I’m wrong! She and BC are visible numerous times, running and holding by the hands.

ARGH! I had managed to knock that song out of my head with repeated listening of some Loreena McKinnett song and now it is back!
No, wait. There is a song battle going on in my head.
It is the "Can you hear me calling out your name" of Fleetwood Mac's Everything and that "deliver me! Deliver meeeee-eee" part repeated over and over. What.the.hell? They are now one song. Thanks, brain.

I just saw this article about the Ice Cream company Supposendly being surprised with the sketch and I noticed they included an image of BC wearing the hat. That wasn't in the sketch so I guess it was during the rehearsal,
