Got this bit of info from a Hater blog actually (they keep such an obsessive eye on BC - for their spreadsheets on him no doubt - that their blogs are often the place to go to get tips about things he is doing!!) -

Here's the BC information...
Bold Tendencies is bringing work by Es Devlin, Carlo Rovelli and Benedict Cumberbatch to their Peckham rooftop
Like the Cashino on Rye Lane, or a post-Canavan’s doner from Katie’s Kebabs, Bold Tendencies is a Peckham institution. Since 2007, they’ve been making art publicly accessible in South East London, most notably atop a car park opposite a perfectly serviceable branch of Morrisons.
You know the car park we’re talking about, the one that dominates your Instagram feed for a few months a year, as seemingly everyone on Earth decides to get their photo taken on those Simon Whybray-painted pink steps before supping on a cold, crisp plastic pot of continental lager as the sun dips below Camberwell and Nunhead.
It isn’t just negronis and heaping plates of barbecued pork neck up there at Frank’s Cafe – there’s also a large-scale sculpture that gently encourages viewers to consider how they negotiate spaces that blend art and entertainment.
Bold Tendencies next big show sees artist and designer Es Devlin working with theoretical physicist and author Carlo Rovelli on an “immersive installation” inspired by his book The Order of Time. Es and Carlo have also asked top-tier thespian Benedict Cumberbatch to get involved, and the Sherlock star will be reading from the text.
Described as an invitation “to imagine a world where time is in us and we are not in time,” The Order of Tme sees Carlo attempting to unravel the mysteries of time itself.

Of course the Hater who posted this was all "isn't this pretentious shit" and pooh-poohing it. But I read it thoroughly and happen to think the whole thing is decidedly as un-pretentious as you can get! The whole idea of Bold Tendencies is to bring innovative art out to a wider audience, make art more accessible to all. How is that in any way pretentious??? The venue is on top of a parking garage FFS! The whole idea is feeding the public longing for enrichment without any pretensions.
If I lived in London I would LOVE to have the opportunity to go to any one of the Bold Tendencies events!
Anyway I'm glad BC is involved. And I bet with Es Devlin being involved the whole atmosphere will be spectacular!
:-))
