This is actually a great list of films and series: www.theweek.co.uk/97154/benedict-cumberbatch-s-best-tv-shows-and-filmsThe Imitation Game Sherlock Patrick Melrose 12 Years a Slave Wreckers Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy Parade’s End I would change Sherlock and The Imitation Game for The Hollow Crown: Richard III and The Child in Time but at the same time, I understand why they would choose those two instead. Both are very important in his career. Actually I personally would put Dr. Strange instead any of those two!

I saw that list too Sgev.
My "best" BC list would be - In no particular ranking order...
Third Star Wreckers Patrick Melrose Richard III - The Hollow Crown Parade's End The Child in Time To The Ends of the Earth Hawking
I know the original list only had 7 listed but I just couldn't leave off any of these 8 essentials to me. And might I add, if they allowed it i would also like to add the National Theatre Live cinema showings of Frankenstein and Hamlet would round it to 10 Best ( but I guess strictly speaking those are stage productions that happened to be filmed but I think they should count anyway). 😁

Sorry to disagree, but Sherlock has to be on the list. It’s the best tv show ever in the history of tv!

Sorry to disagree, but Sherlock has to be on the list. It’s the best tv show ever in the history of tv! Lol! Well, it is really hard to narrow it down. And yes Sherlock is among the very best on TV! It's in that rarefied air to be sure! I was just going by which ones I watch (and re-watch) the most often and which ones I thought showed his immense range. But it is entirely subjective for sure. 😊

My list would be (in no particular order):
Sherlock 12 Years a Slave Wreckers - I loved this, and am glad to see it included somewhere! Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy The Hollow Crown: Richard III Dr. Strange Hawking Frankenstein Hamlet Atonement is one of my all-time favorite performances, though I wouldn't include the movie as a whole.
I still haven't seen Patrick Melrose so I don't know about that one!

I can’t list them in order, but here are my favorites: Patrick Melrose, Sherlock, Parades End, Child in Time, Hollow Crown, Tinker Tailor, Wreckers, Star Trak (movie not so good imho, but he was great), Dr Strange, End of the Earth. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be Patrick Melrose. Edit: can’t believe I forgot Imitation Game, that’s the movie that got me started on him.
