She will be 44 this year, right? She is two years younger than BC.
I am 49 and, ugh, I could not imagine having one at 44. But, I am sure they have helpers to help with chores and such. But, still. 4 kids would be a lot.

My best friend’s mother turned 50 when we were 12, which sounded ancient to us! So she had her first child at 38, and then had 3 more after that. It was really unusual for that time (my mother gave birth at 21 and 24), and if there were women that old having children, they always had a bunch of children already.

You've heard no doubt that there actually IS a rumour that they are (or are THINKING about) having another one? I absolutely had not!! Lol! This is the second time I've made a random comment only to find out that it's part of some haterz discussion that I'm oblivious to! Is this my super power? I was just thinking he'd made such a great dad to a little girl. Or, of course, another boy- I just always hoped he'd have a girl! It was a random thought which I thought would make for light discussion, but it seems eerily similar to the rumour you are referencing. Is this from Gator again? Well I guess at 43 it’s feasible she could have another baby but would she want to?! Oh I wasn't even thinking about her age, but I think 43 is fine these days. Much safer than it used to be. I suspect they're done at 3, but I'd be giddy if they had one more cumberbun in the oven. Good thing that I don't have a say in their lives, eh? LOL! I would love them to have a girl. But I seem to remember that if you have several children of the same gender the odds are you will keep on having the same gender. I have a friend who is the only girl in her family but her parents had six boys before they finally got her. That’s what I call perseverance! 😀. And I don’t think BC and Sophie have time to have another four babies. Not that I would wish it on the poor woman. 😱

Here's the article (Google translation) that gave the Haters a snit fit..

I don't think it's legitimate but boy oh BOY, the Haters had their panties in a twist about this one!
Besides, even if you read the "rumour" it doesn't really say that the Cumberbatches ARE having a fourth. It just says that he said they would love IF they were parents again IF health would allow and IF they were pregnant again they'd like it to be a girl. The whole thing just feels like an imaginary scenario type of question and answer.

They posted and talked about it about the time it came out - December 19th I believe. I wouldn't have known about it except I saw it on Gator's blog. So much of what they get in a tizzy about is because THEY search it out and then post it! They really do have an unhealthy obsession about Sophie! And yet they are always going on about how Sophie is publicizing herself to get attention and they are the one spreading info about her! Lol!

I think it’s hilarious that Benedict would casually mention that they wanted more kids while they were on the red carpet somewhere! Ha!
I would love for it to be true, though. Babies are always happy news!
I’m related to a family that had three girls, and then after several years, they had four boys. They were more than the 6 Brady Bunch kids! But in a family like that, the three older girls helped take care of their younger brothers. One of the boys was my age, and the youngest was born was I was 4, maybe. All the kids are university-educated and have amazing jobs.
I also took a course once with someone who was the oldest of 11 kids! We were in our early 20’s when I knew her, and she had a baby sister who was less than a year old. Over the years, our local news featured them from time to time because it was such an unusual situation!

Up to about the 1960s huge families of 10 or more kids were quite common common in Ireland. It was illegal to sell contraceptives here. But the church no longer has that kind of power and families are much smaller. My friend only comes from a family of seven because her parents were determined to keep going until they had a girl!

Our best friend comes from a family of 10. Of the 9 living children (one of the sisters died in a fire when she was in her early twenties) 5 of them have no children (and the youngest of them is in their 50's so I doubt they are going to). Of those who do have kids, none of them have more than 3 each. Times change.
