I've been wanting to re-watch Benedict's November 5 episode of Saturday Night Live, but the YouTube clips don't play for me. So I did a search and found this - it's the entire episode without commercials: vimeo.com/190440042I don't care what anyone says - I think he did a fabulous job hosting, and he looked gorgeous doing it!

I thought he was hilarious too (and he looked in fine shape as well).
I always love that he likes to play with an element of self deprecation about his appearance and fame. It comes across as being very funny and humble to me (and makes him all the more adorable to me).
Thanks for the link.

Ok, so tbh I found this episode rather cringeworthy and not my kind of humour anyway, but I do admire him for being ready to go along with the silliness. Well, I did enjoy wc add, but couldn't go past dead granny gig.

I thought the episode was no better or worse than any other episode, but he was so much better than most hosts. It's awful when they have hosts who can't act and can barely read their cue cards. But Benedict just threw himself into everything and, once again, elevated the material he was given. Just like he always does!
The episode that was on the week after this one, which they've already repeated, was truly cringeworthy and not my taste at all. But everyone seemed to love it and it got great ratings.

He was a wonderful host and really threw himself into the silliness of it all. After all it isn't meant to be Shakespeare, so I don't watch this thing with too critical of an eye. I just want to see him enjoy himself and get some exposure on American TV. Mission accomplished as far as I was concerned.
I thought the funniest of all the skits was the one that was like a game show and asked the question about "what makes BC so hot?". That one really made me laugh.
And the way he jumped down those steps at the beginning really made me smile - he really is a bundle of energy!

Yeah, you have to take it in the spirit of silliness and a bit of cringing. He looked great, did a wonderful job, SANG, got to take his clothes off in a sketch I had to watch through my fingers I was cringing so hard, threw a globe in a beautiful sexual identity tantrum, and was charming and adorable in the black shirt with the "hot" quiz show skit. Not to mention riffing Jeremy Irons and Chris Angel, teasing an eagle with a shiny watch, and got to do accents. It was fabulous for what it was! 😍
