I don’t think so. Nobody has responded appropriately to this mess, imo. While the lawsuit has NO merit and will probably not be heard by the Supreme Court, it’s getting very weird now. Nice of those elected representatives to affix their names to a seditious document so we know who they are. Nancy Pelosi should refuse to swear them in.
I’m getting terrified, honestly. Two from my state signed on. Not my rep, he’s good, but even that many brings shame to my state.
Biden will be sworn in on Jan 20th since he’s the clear and legal winner, but it’s going to be a very long 40 days between now and then. There has got to be legal repercussions for this unAmerican activity, down to the least of them.

Well, Trump is transferring the government so all these seems like a mere show but agreed that's a dangerous situation because maybe he and other Republicans actually don't believe in anything of what they are doing but a lot of his followers do.

So, it looks like the American people have stopped a coup attempt via the sheer power of the vote and the strength of our constitution! Trump’s out, McConnell’s reduced to minority leader, the Democrats are going to have both chambers of Congress along with a Dem president.
I am so incredibly happy! Democracy wins! We avoided autocracy! That’s amazing! There were a number of times I didn’t think we’d make it through this.
Of course, there’s still a lot to clean up (fumigate the White House, lol) and a bunch of wacky stuff that will happen over the next two weeks (keep your fingers crossed Trump doesn’t try to start a war with Iran), but they’re out! They’re going! Order will be restored!
Hopefully our friends will let us back onto the world stage in a humbler capacity. Thanks for hanging with us during this period of insanity, especially you Canadians. Y’all been so nice and supportive. 🙏🏻🤗

I am truly happy for you (you personally and happy for your country in general) and RELIEVED as a citizen of the world!
It was important (for the world and for your country) that the orange carbuncle was removed and democracy be allowed to flourish.
Still a lot of poison and puss out there from the infection caused by all of this, but at least this is a step in the right direction!
Today is a day for CELEBRATION!

Such wonderful news. Am so happy for America and the rest of the word. Those Republican senators & officials still buying into Trump’s disgraceful attempts to undermine democracy need to have a long think about if this is how they want to be remembered.

Well, it seems the USA is now your standard third world country!
If it helps, I have been literally there! I work in a Legislative historical archive but we are very close to the plenary room and we have had a few incidents with violent protesters. Once I was at the actual plenary room giving a chat to a group of elementary school kids when people tried to storm the building. It was pretty scary but I tried to keep it cool to not scare the kids. I was hearing people screaming outside meanwhile the huge wood doors were making an awful sound and I was there talking about the voting system in early 1800s!!! I was waiting for a signal by the security people to evacuate the kids but it wasn't necessary. Thankfully, the situation was controlled before I ended the chat! On another occasion, a group of protesters broke a crystal door in the main building hurting themselves in the process. So yeah, welcome to the third world!
Seriously, I hope the situation is resolved soon and without ugly consequences!
EDITED Ok, this seem worse than anything I have seen!

This is bad. The capital building hasn’t been breached since 1814. Reports of a protestor being shot. They’ve completely overrun the building.
