Don’t worry about the conditioner! You’ll have the conditioner they leave in your Jamaica bathroom. In my experience, the hotel stuff is always better than what I’ve brought with me.I think they do that so that when you return home, you’ll want to buy that fancy brand yourself.

FINALLY THE INTERNET KICKED IN!!!
Had a delicious dinner at the airport hotel. Dan had the "Smash burger" and I had the braised short ribs with veggies.
We watched a wee bit of TV and turned out the lights by 9:30. I had a little problem getting to sleep but I did get a few hours.
This morning the checkout was a snap and before we knew it we were in Terminal 1. Security was light but they decided to give us the full "Monty" and they did confiscate my bottle of conditioner (the REALLY expensive one!).
Now, we're waiting at our gate. We have Maple Leaf Loubge privileges but we're boarding in less than an hour and it would take to long to get there and back.
I'll write more once we board the plane to Jamaica.
....
We're on our way ! Next stop Montego Bay airport.
The plane we took for a one hour trip to Montreal was more luxurious than this one. And we have almost a 4 hour flight.
They are serving us breakfast again on this flight. The earlier flight we had an omelet, sausages, potatoes plus yogurt, fresh fruit and a warm bun with jam.
We are considering this an early lunch and are having the French toast breakfast.
The seats are comfortable but not as plush as the first flight.
The other big difference is there's no screen on the back of the seat in front of you. You are given a free password to view entertainment but you have to supply the device.
And you can't see the progress of the flight.
...
I still can't get the wifi to do anything. Other people around us seem to have it but I can't get Google to come up.
We just finished the early lunch. Excellent! Had peppermint tea to finish it off.
It's now almost 10:30 am. The pilot said we'd be a bit early landing in Montego Bay but only by about 10 minutes. We're scheduled to be there by around 1:30 pm.

Well I had ordered the conditioner special but that's a small matter really. What is really troubling is I think I may have left my bracelet I bought in India (with semi-precious stones in it) in our hotel this morning! I suddenly realised I'm not wearing it when I was one the plane. I might try emailing the hotel but I'm not expecting anything. I shouldn't have taken it off when I went to bed!

Yes, notify the hotel about your bracelet as soon as possible.
Many years ago, a friend and I drove to Atlantic City, and my friend left two huge shopping bags of souvenirs behind when we checked out. She didn’t realize it until hours later, when we had stopped to spend time at the beach before the long drive home. We returned to hotel and found out our room hadn’t even been cleaned yet - despite such an early check-out time. They let us back in, and her bags were right there where she had left them.

Update: I found the bracelet! I packed deep in Dan's suitcase for some reason. We checked in to our resort this afternoon and it is exquisite. The only things we did was walk around a bit to get oriented, buy a zippered bag for me and have a small diner watching the sunset. We're very tired so tonight we're going to bed early and hope to feel refreshed for tomorrow. Here's some pix of Dan and I on the last leg of our journey to the resort and some of the walkabout. imgur.com/a/ahKTLUg

After a good night's sleep and a BIG breakfast we felt more relaxed today. The food here is great! Lots of selection and good quality. The resort is very uncrowded. There are many areas for sitting, both in the sun and in the shaded areas. This morning it was rainy but it is starting to clear up now. They are promising full sun by around 11 o'clock and I'd say it is even a bit ahead of schedule. imgur.com/a/pSl8uyd

Second full day at the resort. Yesterday I had a short video call from my sister Heather. At the time we chatted it was hot and sunny. Thirty seconds after we talked there was a sudden downpour and we were drenched! But 10 minutes later we were drying off by the pool. Here's some pix... imgur.com/a/R0eWDeTWe spent the whole rest of the day reading, drinking and eating either by the pool or at the "quiet beach" (no music and very secluded). I tried a dip in the roped off swimming area but I found the water seaweedy and not good for swimming. About dinner time we showered and got dressed for our supper. We had a delicious meal at the seaside restaurant. Out in front of our table was the inky darkness and the crashing waves of the Caribbean surf. This morning after breakfast we're back at the quiet beach but we'll probably head to the pool or the large beach closer to lunch. I'm learning the ropes of the resort - learn where to exchange towels , large bills for smaller denominations and where the ATM was. Tomorrow we have a couples massage scheduled so that will be different. Some more pix from this morning and yesterday... imgur.com/a/t5ssXf0

Here, it started raining very early this morning, and is supposed to continue until late tonight. Right now, fog is setting in because the temperature keeps rising while there’s still some snow on the ground. I’d much rather look at sand and palm trees!
Your photos make me so jealous of being in paradise instead of whatever this is!

Believe me I can't get over the fact we are here either! We've been watching the pelicans fish this afternoon. Their feeding ground is right in front of the swimming area This afternoon we found a really secluded shady area at the big beach and yet it's close to a washroom and the bar! We were really lucky! In a little while we'll go in swimming. Here's some more pix... imgur.com/a/KE2RQQo

It looks so calm and peaceful! I can practically hear the ocean. I’m glad you’re having a wonderful time. ☺️
