This morning we are just about to get on a bus to go to a Cove and swim with dolphins. We should be back in the afternoon in time for lunch. In total our stay in Jamaica is 14 days. We leave next Tuesday on February 21st. Yesterday we had a great Valentines dinner. Here's a pix the waiter took of us. imgur.com/a/cU9ppxa

We're just back from the Dolphin Day. Right now we're exhausted because it's 36°C and we didn't want to drink too much liquid because of the bus ride. Here's a pix the photographer took of Dan and me in the water with the Dolphin. His name was Mitch. We rode on his belly hanging onto his flippers. We laid on a float board and he pushed us along by our feet. And we got to pose with him. It was incredible to feel his soft, slippery skin and hold his chin. Really an incredible experience! imgur.com/a/HTkX8KO

Here's a pretty sunset we saw at dinner last night. Tonight we're going to have a Japanese dinner. Should be fun! imgur.com/a/Apeglbq

Just some notes and observations...
I'm very glad we picked this resort. It is small but very personal and friendly. The staff is always willing to help you out and right down to the cleaners and grounds keepers, make it their personal mission to find a solution to every enquiry you may have.
The rooms are spotless as are the pools and restaurants. Tons of towels in the rooms and you can have fresh beach towels whenever you want them.
My travel agent recommended this lace because of the food and it hasn't disappointed in the least. I've probably gained ten pounds because the desserts are FABULOUS!!
So far my favourites are the cinnamon french toast for breakfast, the pizza for lunch and the lamb chops for dinner. I'm not really into spicy food but I did have a concoction called a Jamaican Pot (mixture of spicy seafood) which was really good.
We've met a LOT of Canadians here.
And racially about half the guests are dark skinned so it doesn't feel like a "whites only" resort, which is nice.
The sun is tremendously hot so we have been very careful about exposing ourselves to it in limited amounts.
Dan is a voracious reader, so he went through his books in about a week and then we discovered the resort has their own little "lending library" where people have left books at the resort and you can borrow them to read or donate books you don't want to take home so others can read them. So now Dano has another book to keep him occupied!
I finished "The End We Start From" (really enjoyed it) and now I'm reading a non fiction book I got for Christmas about the WWII prison of Colditz. Really interesting and written in easy, breezey style.
😁 Back to reading! Talk to you guys later!

I remember one resort I stayed at (in Cuba, I think?) that had their lending library outside, near the beach-towel lending area. The library was covered from the weather in a pretty, wooden gazebo-type structure. I didn’t borrow any books from there because I had brought my own to read, but I did donate mine before coming home.

At our resort the lending library is in the gift shop. I went in there thinking they might sell popular books for the beach. They didn't but the women behind the desk told me they had a cupboard of "donated books. She spread them out for us to choose and Dan found one to his liking - a spy novel. We gave them Dano's book he had brought - a biography of Marmaduke St. John Pattle (and I used too think BC had the most "British" sounding name!). Lol!
