Thanks for the link; I'm glad to see the film increased it's total! Also, if you go into the tab "News" and scroll down to February 20 (I think it was), the Doctor Strange blu-ray/DVD release is the Pick of the Week and it includes a new review of the film (and of the extras on the blu-ray).

I'm so happy it has done so well! I'm in the middle of watching Doctor Strange with Scott Derrickson's commentary. He says that he did the commentary the day before the premiere - so it was before any ticket sales or movie reviews or audience reactions or awards nominations. There are many times that he says he really liked something in a scene, or the test audience laughed at a certain part, and he hoped that the audience would, too. But then he always adds that it's ok if the movie doesn't do well at the box office or gets bad reviews because he loves how it turned out and that's all that matters. I wish I could reach into the DVD and reassure him that the movie will be a success!

I guess it can be included in overall BO, or should this be in a thread by itself? I think this is the place for it. That's good news!

Checked out Amazon this morning but blu ray was out of stock for Dr. Strange. Amazon (Canada) never showed Doctor Strange as being in stock or available for pre-order when I was looking for it. I ended up just buying it in a store the day it came out.

I read somewhere that Amazon has some conflict with Disney (they seem to have conflicts with a lot of companies!) and that was the reason a few of its movies, including Dr. Strange, were not available for pre-sales. Maybe it's related.
EDITED: I just checked and on Amazon México is just available in 3D!

The Canadian version of Amazon has it listed as out of stock for the Blu-Ray and DVD formats. There apparently is also a steel box version but that won't be available until March 17 at the earliest.
Question is, if price is not a consideration, which should I buy? Are there more bonus materials on the Blu-Ray version than the DVD. And is the steel box version somehow better or is it just a nicer box?
At any rate the home format of this movie seems to be a "hot" item at the moment!
:-))
Edit: Sgev - COOL!! 3D Wow! I wonder if other countries will be offering that??? I have all a smart TV that is supposed to allow for 3D and it even came with the glasses, who I would love to get that!

I bought it at Best Buy. The DVD was $19.99, the Blu-Ray was $24.99, and the Steelbook was $34.99. I always buy the Blu-Ray if it's available, but I got the Steelbook this time. It has both the DVD and Blu-Ray, and a code for the digital download - which I've already downloaded onto my iPad. I don't know if it has any extra extras!
I bought Frozen on sale at Walmart a couple of years ago, and it also came with the three versions.
