So who plays who? A guess!
Peter Carroll is Old Gent
Frances Conroy is Old Lady... or the Governor's wife.
Adam Beach is the Chief
Kodi Smit-McPhee is Peter
Not idea who is playing Thomasin McKenzie! I read an interview in which she said it was her dream to work with Campion, tho.!

Also Kirsten Dunst is just 13 years older than Smit-McPhee.
No confirmation yet that he is playing her son, tho. He could be playing the husband, I guess. But then he would be 13 years younger! (Is Thomasin playing a young Rose? A bit unnecessary in my opinion!) He kind of fits Peter's profile.

We have Peter, don't we?
Is there a girl in the novel?

Look at the picture I posted. The difference of ages looks gtreater than 13 years. I didn't see him in anything but I like him!
As I didn't read the book I don't know if there is a girl in it.

Apart of Rose in the flashbacks when she is courted by Peter's father, there aren't girls in the book.
That's why I was surprised with her casting. She mentioned she loved Campion and was her dream to work with her so maybe she was already in the cast when she did those interviews or Campion hired her after read them!

That actor looks like how I pictured Peter. He can certainly pass for a young teenager.
I don’t remember a girl in the story, but maybe there’s a young servant? Or a classmate when Peter was away at school?

I last saw him on My name is Dolemite and he looked like a 20-something, the age he was playing in the film but I just saw some of the Dolemite's premiere photos and he looks like a teenager. He is perfect for Peter. I just would like a confirmation!

The house has “a girl” who does the cleaning & stuff and makes Rose have nothing to do, adding to her feelings of worthlessness. I’m not sure she even has a name. That’s who I thought she was cast for.

I remember the old cook. She has a bigger role in the book. Maybe Campion made bigger the barely mentioned maid girl role so Rose could talk with someone about her feelings. The book is very introspective.
