I commented on the Bafta thread but, as it is the night of the Oscars I have to say that the film I like the most is Manchester by the Sea. This movie and Arrival are the two movies I'd like to watch again. I have a problem with Arrival that is that it gave me a claustrophobic sensation (physical) and having read the story I preferred it to the movie. However I think the adaptation was very good. La La Land I should watch it again because I feel I'm missing something but today I think it's overrated.
I didn't watch all the nominees.

I've seen most of the movies this year, and the only one I hated was Manchester by the Sea!

I have no interest in seeing Manchester by the Sea. I loved Lion, Moonlight and La La Land - the only Oscar (best picture) nominated films I actually managed to see before now.

Wow that was embarrassing!
The ceremony was going so well in my opinion until the royal fuck up in the end.

Hohoho How can they commit that kind of error! The guy on the right gave his speech knowing he had lost! I'm ok with this win and my best picture won best original script. That awkward momentIt is already on youtube.

I'm happy that Moonlight won - I only saw it, La La Land and Lion of the BP nominees and I would have been happy with any one of them winning, loved them all. But that was a pretty farcical way of announcing!

Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty are a shame.
When I heard La La Land I turn off the tv. Then I decided to put here the winners and, what a surprise! I had written: No surprises.

Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty are a shame. I don't think it's their fault at all. Whoever gave them the wrong envelope is to blame.

I love the hilarious tweets about the big Oscar mix-up, including this one from Scott Derrickson:
