It maybe don't mean anything but on IMDB it was added another actor (someone who seems legit with other professional jobs, not an extra) and a supervising art director.

They had time to write a good script and prepare.
My only problem is that I'm already dreading the comments on BC's american accent.
His American accent has gotten much better, and most Americans know him from Dr. Strange anyway. I think those complaints will eventually fizzle out.

Hopefully this is true! It says that they begin tomorrow! CORRECTION: it seems it’s an old article. I checked some of the other productions there are two of them were already filmed. Triplets, the biggest one, wasn’t but there were reports that they would shoot it early last year. Sorry!

How about his accent in TPOTD then? What would Americans say about it? I‘m really interested! (Sorry, I‘m not a native English speaker.. )
From what I have heard, there‘s only one actor to have ever lived who always nailed many different English-speaking accents to pure perfection: Daniel Day Lewis! He is a true master of this, as I‘ve mentioned here before. (He is my „other“ favourite actor ever, lol!)
Accents are damn hard to do!

He got flack for TPOTD accent, too. Some people said it wasn’t “southern” enough, not realizing Montana isn’t in the south. Others said it sounded weird at times, not realizing Phil was born and bred in Boston and his accent was colored by that, since he was putting on a western accent to act the cowboy bit. You could hear the Boston part come out (on purpose), when he said Georgie (Jahjee) sometimes. In other words, the usual ignorant complaints. 😂 He’s actually very good and careful with accents these days, even if his American accent was a bit rougher back in the day.
Long ago people didn’t have any problems with accents not matching. Witness Errol Flynn being George Armstrong Custer with his Tasmanian accent, lol. Or, more recently, in The Man in the Iron Mask there were English, Irish, American, and French accents all going in for French people! They didn’t even try.

They were just a few. He won every available award with the exception of the popular shitty ones! 😉 And he was praised for his accent by some, The Sight and Sound review compared his accent to Lee Marvin’s accent in The Man who Shot Liberty Valance and I haven’t heard it but there is a critic on Twitter who not just came to the same conclusion but recently participated in a podcast that specifically talked about the influence of that movie and BC’s Lee Marvin inspired accent in TPOTD.
