Also, BC puts himself out there on a range of topics more than MF. MF is a Labour Party supporter and did an advert for them but, otherwise, he really doesn’t say very much about anything other than whatever he’s working on.
Because BC is willing to stick his head above the parapet and support issues which really p*ss off the right wing media such as The Daily Mail, he gets a lot of stick.
BC is just a bigger and broader personality. And that is unfortunately a double edged sword.

But it’s only a problem because people live to judge others instead of thinking. (As I sit here watching news about this Trump clown car administration, judging them harshly.) 😃

“Ineffable” is the correct word, absolutely. MF is more.. expected to be blunt and doesn’t get misinterpreted as much as Ben does. With Ben he has an almost ethereal quality about him and when he is blunt (and he has been on occasion) people are really taken back and react strongly to it (and most of the time go ballistic as in HOW DARE HE!!!). Like with the refugee issue and Hamlet, or even mundane stuff like when BC said that thing about not liking his hair long because he felt too “girly”. :-)) It’s true MF just speaks his mind, bluntly. BC tends to wander around in his speech, not getting to the point as quickly as MF does. I think lots of folks who hate him just don’t understand his mind and what he’s saying, because they don’t speak his artistic language.

What are Norbury sites?

They are the ones who led the charge of “Queerbaiting” against Moffat and Gatiss and campaigned with petitions to boycott the BBC because they supported M&G. They all identified themselves with the identifier “#Norbury” alluding the lines of warning that Sherlock asked Mrs. Hudson to use on him if he ever got too cocky and forgot that an overweening ego can have disastrous results.
They were (and some of them still are apparently) relentless in tweeting harassment of M&G, Sue V., AMA, Louise B.. and a number of the crew of Sherlock. Their tumblr blogs were/are filled with loooooong diatribes about how horrible M&G were and how any one of them could have done better (it all centres around the show ending up with a declaration of JL and Mary being enshrined as a total villain)!
And they also made a huge effort to agitate dissatisfaction among non-shipping fans by demanding “answers” to their weighted questions about Season 4 (I read a number of their question “lists” and most of their queries could be easily answered as long as you used a little common sense). A lot of them also were behind spreading rumours about a “secret” 4th episode?!??! That was suppose to air sometime after TFP and they spread the rumour that the show that was suppose to be in Sherlock’s old timeslot was a fake show and didn’t exist!
Yes, they are real sweethearts!
:-))

And for stuff like that is why I think Tumblr is crazy, roverpup! Not everyone, of course! But somehow micro sites like it and in slightly less degree Twitter create the right environment for deluded and obsessive persons like that to breed.
Ironically, Moffat said since the beginning he never visited Tumblr even when he wasn’t sure what it was because the only thing he knew about it was that people there wanted him dead! He was joking, of course! But I guess the sick obsessions were since the beginning when they still loved Sherlock and they still didn’t fabricated and disseminated lies trying to destroy their ex-heroes!
Anyway, nice people are everywhere and I’m sure there are a LOT of nice people with the rotten apples but there is something really nasty about certains social media sites that seems to feed the worst in some of the participants.

Heh, the recent All Stars winner of Rupaul's Drag Race (Trixie Mattel) re-tweeted this and it made me stupidly happy. It's always fun to notice celebs you like liking other things you like.

Arcade Fire is headlining the Junos this year! Just thought I would throw that in here! Also I totally agree with the tweeter!

I don't actually even know what Arcade Fire is haha but it automatically got embedded along with the Sherlock part I was trying to link to. Maybe I should go listen to them now.

Relating this back to BC - I think one time he mentioned that he had an Arcade Fire tune on his listening device (what do you call that “thing”... iPod?? Walkman??? I am sooooo old!).
