Gary was pretty gracious about it. If I was being interviewed (and not in an ad hoc situation where not being prepared would be excusable), I'm pretty sure I would be really irritated to be faced with professional incompetence. I get annoyed with professional incompetence in other capacities. But when so in the public eye, it would pretty much always be a mistake to show any irritation. You do wonder how some of these interviewer people get to be employed in the first place, though, when they're so often so basically incompetent.

I was trying to find information about the other projects and I remembered that Jungle Book has a release date. Do you think it is really going to be released?

Who knows? The huge success of Disney version clearly affect it. The question is in what way? The last news was that Alfonso Cuaron was working in it which it's good (because he is great) and bad (what is he fixing?).
The actors doing the motion capture and voices are great so it would be a shame if they decide not releasing it soon but it's logic that they are trying not to be compared to the Disney version. We will see...

I definitely think they are trying to avoid a "Dangerous Liaisons"/"Valmont' situation here so I think this version of Jungle Book will be out when a suitable length of time has passed.
And perhaps they brought in Cuaron in an effort to make sure the distance between this one and the Disney version is not only one of time but also one of approach.

And yes, of course one wonders what problems actually prompted Cuaron's assistance, but I'm very aware re how easy it can be to focus on something so hard that you can lose the full facility to see it as clearly and objectively as you should. The proverbial not being able to see the wood for the trees. So an experienced fresh eye (fresh being the operative word) is pretty much never a bad thing in my book.

We have a new player with Rio. Probably he will do some Marvel in between projects, of course, but Deadline mentioned that Guadagnino movie is planned for an early 2018 shooting.

Everything is soon quiet! I thought it might be a good time to speculate, once again about what projects might filmed and when.
June to whenever: Judging by Benedict Wong's comments, it sounds like he may start filming the next Marvel film in June. Anyone want to speculate where? August through at least October: Melrose. Patrick is a child in one of the episodes, so Benedict will only appear in four. I don't know what is required of him as a producer or whether they will film the episodes in chronological order. The Fall - especially November and December: promotion for The Current War. No word yet on which festivals it will show at, but it could be as early as Toronto. Telluride and Venice might be possibilities, as well. 2018: Does anyone want to speculate about the other projects? I'm thinking Rio might be next, just because the director, screenwriter, and co-star are already lined up. What does that leave? How To Stop Time, The War Magician, Rogue Male, The Man In The Rockefeller Suit, Smiley's People, Flying Horse, any others?
Judging from the script and a documentary I saw about the fake Rockefeller, I kind of hope The Man In The Rockefeller Suit drops by the wayside. How To Stop Time and The War Magician all sound like they would require elaborate special effects and a lot of preparation, so it may take awhile to get them ready to film. I would like to see Flying Horse, but it sounds like a long shot. Maybe Rogue Male will be next?
Has anyone heard anything about Guantanamo Diary? Do you think that will be a documentary or a dramatization?

I think Melrose may take more time. It is going to be filmed in France, London, NY. Also, BC has a personal interest in it so I see him being during the whole filming. They don't have to film the episodes in chronological order either. They may start filming the last episodes first.
How to Stop Time has not been published/released yet? Do they have a script?
I'd like it to be Rio.
