JG still has it listed on his IMDB page as “pre-production”, just like Benedict does.

Surely you all hear about the horrible terrorist attack last week in Sri Lanka. First, my condolences to the country and everyone affected by it.
In a much more frivolous theme, I am thinking about Guadagnino wanting to shoot it there. I know the civil war ended 10 years ago and it was considered a much more peaceful place when he considered it but I remember there were some violent attacks to the Muslim community around the time he planned to shoot it and now this attack against Christians. I wonder how easy is to film there and if it influenced the problems he had with the studio.
Probably I'm being unfair because I know that sometimes things happen in a country and out there it seems it affected the whole country but it's just a small region. I'm sure the tourist places are less dangerous but at the same time, some luxury hotels were also targeted last week. Such a shame because it seems to me it's a beautiful place to visit and its tourist industry surely will be affected.
Some Brazilian fans from Rio were actually worried about a possible shooting in their city because the insecurity but Brazil has actually a strong film industry so I imagine people there know how to sort out unexpected problems, I don't know about Sri Lanka.

It seems its Imdb entry was edited. The name of Rebecca Lenkiewicz was added and, probably more intriguing, the name of an American actor called Kameron Omidian. Now, everyone can edit the site. I have done it! The actor seems to be a background actor or someone who use to do very small roles so surely he or his people edited it but if it's true that he was hired then it means that they are already hiring talent! Very promising! Maybe we will have some new info soon from Cannes market! www.imdb.com/title/tt6881230/

This sounds like Lost City of Z all over again. BC reserves time in his schedule, director isn't ready, BC twiddles thumbs during the time he planned to shoot. Hopefully he is still available next spring.

Really? I got the feeling this is much more solid than The Lost City of Z ever was. Was all the financing set for that?

He is one of the producers so I think it's indeed slightly more solid but who knows? Guadagnino was also an executive producer and he left the project.
The Power of the Dog supposedly will be shoot early next year. I guess both movies should have a short shooting schedule but we will see
