I forgot about All! That is DEFINITELY the worst role he’s ever taken, lol. I have no idea what he was trying to do there and I normally have no problem sussing him out. It was just a bunch of weird gazing at Ben Stiller. 😂🤣😂 I thought All was attracted to Stiller's character? Honestly, I have no idea. I try not to think about that movie too much. So, let me rewrite the script, since I have a giant cup o'snark this morning. Christine: But there is no living YOU back on Earth 616 to dreamwalk into! Strange: Who said they had to be living? C: WTF.... Strange proceeds to possess a dead body. A rotten dead body (Defender Straaaaannngeeee) Souls of the Damned: Stephen Strange, you rat's ass bastard! Possessing a dead body is forbidden (and gross!). We are going to punish you by dragging you back to hell with us where we will play ring around the rosey forever and ever! Hahahahahahaha! Strange gets scared and starts to be overtaken by the SotD. They decide to terrorize Christine. Which is a really dumb move, because she is having NONE of it and just gets pissed in a badass way, because this version is tired of everyone's shit. C: Stephen! Man up! What the hell! You are a Master of the Mystic Arts, FFS! You control the dead, not the other way around! Why did you spend all those years not sleeping with me and studying all kinds of magical and musty tomes? I mean, come on, man! These are mystical spirits! Now get out there and kick some campy ass! Strange: Oh, yeah! Right! Haha! Duh! Strange then creates the Cloak of the Damned and states a line so corny* that Christine's eyes roll out of her head. That is why she was laying on the floor when he finished, er, came back to his real body - she was hunting for her eyeballs. *You are going to have to do more than kill me to kill me." There. How is that? Should I run out and apply to be head screenwriter at Marvel now?

I’m sure you could do a much better job of writing it! 😂👍🏼

As I’ve mentioned many times before, I’m bored to death watching “action” movies - the more action, the more boring the movie. If Benedict wasn’t in this, I wouldn’t have gone anywhere near it. I don’t even mind silly plots and special effects! Benedict makes everything better, and this was worth watching only because of him.
And I think he was wonderful as All. I know he should never have taken the role, but he was still terrific in it.

Lol for me The Fifth Estate remains his worst project, even if he was great in it. He always rises above the material, though, as he did with DS2, crafting 4 or 5 different Stranges and making them individual and complete. I have to admit I have a thing for Sinister Strange. The way he said, “Are you happy, Stephen?” just sent shivers up my spine. 😍 I would rather watch T5E ten thousand times, than watch DS2 a second time. DS2 was just a bad movie and a waste of BC's time IMO. But I am VERY glad there are apparently lots of people who did like it! I know it's not my kind of movie (same for the Hobbit movies and his annimated stuff) but I don't begrudge anyone who is into those kind of movies their joy that they get from them. Same would go if he made a musical (shudder!!!). Just not my cup of tea!

Lol! Don’t you just love the differences that make the world go around? 🤗
Someone on Twitter said that if you don’t like musicals because it seems weird and unnatural when people suddenly break into song and dance, then you’re hanging around with the wrong people. 😉😄

Lol! Oh, I love musicals on the stage, just not musicals in film form. There's only a very small handful of film musicals I like - Sound of Music, Wizard of Oz and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. But stage musicals! I've seen dozens and dozens of them!

No news about Dr Strange in the Disney event but the good news is that BC has a lot of time for serious projects! 😉 Hopefully, more auteur filmmakers in his immediate future!

There are 2 Avengers movies scheduled for 2025, so maybe Dr. Strange will be in those.
There are also untitled Marvel projects planned for Feb. '24, Feb. '25 and July '25. I suppose one of those could be DS3, but it seems unlikely since the last one took 6 years!
