That’s an epic scene in the book!
He is one of the old guys in the posh club Patrick visits in New York City.

Margaret Clunie plays Helene. www.unitedagents.co.uk/margaret-clunieShe is a character from the last book. Actually the CV says it’s a guest role and considering it seems she has a regular role in another popular British series then it’s very interesting that actors with certain level of fame are indeed playing such small parts (at least in the source material). I fear I would spoil the ending for those who cares about not wanting to know all the details so BEWARE she plays a much younger waitress Patrick wants to seduce during a post funeral reunion in a pub. At the end he decides to be with his kids instead of calling the beautiful young woman.

IMDb has now the complete cast and there are a few surprises: Kieślowski‘s muse, Irene Jacob is in this!!! She plays the French ambassador’s wife played by another well known French actor, Hippolyte Girardot; Pierre is played by British Turkish actor Philip Arditti and it seems the therapy group that it’s briefly described in the last book will appear here in two episodes www.imdb.com/title/tt6586318/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast
