I peeked at their menu because I'm nosy like that. It looks like BC feasted upon "Slowly Braised Autumn Roots and Pickled Turnips." Yum...? I do think the Pumpkin Popcorn sounds good, whatever that is! Actually the menu sounds good to me. I love all vegetables except sweetcorn and runner beans (Yuk). But omlettes & cheese would be hard to give up and I’m not a big fan of Tofu. So think I will stick to my lacto ovo vegetarianism. Vegan chocolate is not great either. I wonder will BC be getting rid of all his suede and leather stuff. Men with big feet should head to the Hampstead charity shops pronto!

You're right, it does sound good, except for those pickled turnips.
It seems silly to get rid of clothing you already have: I mean, those cows aren't returning to the land of the living, whether they're on BC's feet or someone else's! But maybe he can sign them and donate them to charity again; he's done that with shoes before.

From the original Tweet it sounds like Sophie isn’t Vegan so I wonder how she’s enjoying BC’s new lifestyle. 😀

I hope he just decided to eat vegetables but maybe, after meeting with so many monks he returned to his buddhist philosophy. From the original Tweet it sounds like Sophie isn’t Vegan so I wonder how she’s enjoying BC’s new lifestyle. I can totally see SH as a vegetarian herself. Otherwise she needs a cook.

He always kept to a strict diet during Sherlock, to fit into those skinny trousers. But being vegan at other times, is a new thing. I'm still thinking it is related to a role; perhaps losing weight quickly to play Patrick Melrose?

I'm still thinking it is related to a role; perhaps losing weight quickly to play Patrick Melrose? I was thinking the same thing when I read the Rupert Graves quote. Maybe he changes his diet when he has to look "skinny", like for drug-addicted Sherlock in S4. I'm sure he eats differently when he has to bulk up for a role, like for Khan and Doctor Strange. I remember him complaining that he found out some other cast members in STID were put on a more interesting diet than he was. And when he was doing Hamlet and preparing for Doctor Strange, he said in an interview that he was always hungry.

The benefits of being a “star”, getting a special catering arrangement just for you. I wonder if he has someone on hand to peel the bananas for him. 😀. Still fair play to him if he sticks to it because a pure Vegan diet is quite restrictive.

That's actually the first good anti-vegan (for BC, that is) argument I've heard, mllemass. If he needs to seriously bulk up very fast for a role is that even possible on a vegan diet? All the really muscly guys I know basically eat nothing but protein and without any meat or dairy extreme intakes necessary for very swift muscle-build are kind of impossible.

You can buy complete protein powder that’s plant based, can’t you? Maybe that’s what he uses.
