See calendar. Mmmm...I guess the reports about a March shooting was false! I saw some assumptions that this was filming soon, but I never saw an actual report, from anything even vaguely official anyway, that this was specifically filming in March. What did I miss? Was it a reputable looking source? Plans also do have to change sometimes. It's not impossible that the advent of the new baby, although hardly unexpected obviously, might have thrown a spanner in a few plans. If he was late or something? Or conversely, there was the article that was seemingly saying that BC was already in Edinburgh for the Infinity Wars filming. If there was some change to that schedule, that may have have altered other plans too. Just noticed elsewhere that BC and Sophie were apparently at the Almeida Theatre tonight (Saturday 1st), though, for Andrew Scott's "Hamlet". Obviously not in Edinburgh then!

No, it was not officially reported. Just the "casting" sites. Luckily we know Melrose is at least a go in July-August.

So the info about the shooting was actually right! Cool!
Also Kelly Macdonald as (I suppose) the wife. That's wonderful! I can't wait to know the rest of the cast.

Yea! I love Kelly Macdonald. She's one of the actresses I have hoped he woul work with. I f they follow the book, she won't have much screen time, but what's there is choice! BTW, most of her scenes will involve having sex with Benedict's character. Poor girl!

I would not be surprised if they made the part bigger. A lot of the material is "internal" so they need a way to express some of the characters thoughts.
In the novel the bigger female role is the scientist married with the editor (I don't remember her name!). It will be interesting to know who will play her. She is a mature woman.

It wouldn't surprise me if they make her part bigger, but her absence after a certain point is an important element of the story. Maybe they could show more of the grieving before she leaves.
I' m excited to hear who has been cast as the scientist and editor. Both could be great roles.

Campbell Moore is married to Claire Foy.
UK TV is like a big family.
