So this lawsuit isn’t about money. They’re trying to get back from SunnyMarch the rights to the story, and SunnyMarch wants to keep it.

That's how it sounds! Also based on what it's published in the article it sounds like SunnyMarch is on the right, doesn't it? because supposedly BC had one year to decided over the script but it seems there's not a script yet! And they still have until November for finding some funding! But of course, there could be more. They don't mention if there was a time limit for producing the script.
Maybe they got a better offer for the rights? We will see!

I thought there were some amusing scenes in the book but I would classify it as more of a Bildungsroman (albeit with a time twist).
