It seems Netflix bought it and will released it alongside Eric, [There’s also another connection in the fact that Edward Berger has worked with Netflix on numerous projects including a couple of new ones in the works. I followed the link about Eward Berger to see if the new was about the 39 Steps. And it isn't. Also found this: novelpro.weebly.com/celebrity-chapter/actor-colin-farrell-to-star-in-the-film-adaptation-of-the-ballad-of-a-small-playerBerger is very in demand. Good for him but, what's going to happen to the 39 Steps? According to The Film Experience "Let's just say he's very busy. He's already shot a remake of Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps (as a miniseries) starring Benedict Cumbatch. Around the time of the Oscar nomination he was also shooting a religious thriller Conclave..." Haha.

That's wonderful news about Patrick Melrose being picked up by Netflix!
If I recall, one of the issues that didn't help the number of viewers who saw the series, was attributed to the fact that Showtime didn't have the reach of an organization like Netflix.
And now we seem to have that "reach".
Maybe now this fabulous series will get the widespread exposure it deserves.
It is a masterpiece and definitely merits more eyeballs on it!

It is currently on Netflix in some countries, mllemass . In Canada, the license (or something) had expired so Netflix removed it. It was picked up by the CBC instead - which is fine if you want to go to watch it online there. But I can’t remember the last time they actually showed Sherlock on tv. Even when they did show it, it was always some random episode late at night. Sherlock on Netflix was the only reason I even got Netflix at all!
