The problem (imo) is that his supporters will use this as fuel and will dig their heels in further. 😩

Yup, there’s always going to be 15% of the country lost to conspiracy theories, hateful speech, and the desire for authoritarianism. They’ve fallen down a delusional hole. But, they are a slim minority and accountability is coming for Trump and his ilk. I really feel that a change is just around the corner! 🤞🏼

I really hope you are right, because his recent speech/announcement/whatever about how much control he wants to assert is quite frightening.

I know, right? He’s just saying it out loud now. “I wanna be a dictator and here’s how I’m gonna do it.” Sheesh!

TBH it really creeps me out that a movie inspired and made by QAnon types is a huge hit on the USA Box Office! Some say that it's because the producers are buying all the tickets and it's being projected at empty theaters but that kinda also sounds like a conspiracy theory!
A co-worker told me how that movie was supposedly censored by Netflix when a pro pedophilia film like Cuties is still shown there. She, of course, hasn't watched Cuties! I did my part and explained to her who was behind Sound of Freedom and she seemed very receptive. I hope she doesn't think now that I'm creepy or something! Lol She said she is now disappointed on Jim Caviezel who she thought was great. She is very Conservative but she thinks Trump is the worst and can't believe Caviezel compared him to the biblical David. Of course, conservatives are different here than in the USA. Here Trump isn't very respected!

About Sound of Freedom, the guy alongside Caviezel here is a Mexican ex-actor and extreme right wing “activist” who actually also produced the film,
His name is Eduardo Verástegui and apparently he has some presidential ambitions and soon will announce his candidacy like the “real” right wing option. The traditional right wing party will go in an alliance with other popular parties and the rumor is that they will choose an Indigenous woman with left wing ideas to confront the pseudo left wing official party that governs Mexico right now.
Well, the gossip here is that Verástegui, who is also into Qnon conspiracies and a “pro-life” wacko, used to be Ricky Martin’s “roommate” in their soap opera stars years and there were rumors since then that they weren’t just roommates! Of course, a few years later, Martin come out of the closet while this poor guy went bonkers!

See this,
There are a few negative feedback by Trump fans but also by Democrats/progresives. The thing is Mitt Rommey was always a decent man. I, of course, don't agreed with a lot of his ideas. He is very Conservative (something that Trump nevar was! He is just an opportunist) but he clearly always tried to do what he thought was the right thing. That's why he got in trouble with people like Trump!
He actually is doing the right thing with his retirement (something that a few beloved Democrats didn't do in the recent past, by the way! And that's one of the reasons they lost, for example, the Supreme Court) but, at the same time, Democrats should be fearful about who will be elected in his place.

Very glad he is retiring.
And, I am not sure the democrats actually lost the supreme court because of the lack of retirements, but more because previous nominations were blocked by the republicans.
Romney, however, is a decent man for a politician, I guess. Except for thinking that putting his dog in a crate on the roof of a car for a 12 hour trip is a good choice to show he has good problem solving skills. And, his completely tone deaf comments about women's pay equity and equity in general (see: binders full of women). Oh, and his condescension. And, his conservatism.
I mean, the bar is on the floor for a republican politician to be decent in these days. All you have to do is speak out against Trump.
Anyway, back to the pretty pictures of BC, even if we don't have them IRL.
edit: yes, I am jaded about the state of the country I live in on the macro level. On the micro level, there is a lot of good still here, but darn if it gets overshadowed by everything else.
