Well, the dog thing was a very stupid thing to do! I hope the dog was alright! And the conservative ideas are conservative ideas we all know he has and which I don't agree with but I still think he is a decent person within his own conservative ideology, of course, (there are also politicians who can think exactly like us and not being decent) and a massive lost for the senate in general.
I'm reading this and it seems he is telling everything about his own party members,
It's a devastating look to Republican Senators!

Romney is a decent man, even if I disagree with everything about him, like John McCain. At least he has the good grace to retire at a reasonable time (like Nancy Pelosi), and give the younger folks an opportunity to learn what to do. Folks like Diane Feinstein and Mitch McConnell want to die in Congress, I think. That’s bad for everyone. I don’t understand why they think they’re so important the world can’t carry on without them, and Mitch has some serious glitches going on in his brain. How many times do we need to see him having a petit mal seizure in public before he steps down?
We all knew this Congress was going to be a shitshow and they’re certainly living up to that expectation. It would be funny if it wasn’t so terrifying.
One of the House reps from my state (I say with embarrassment), Lauren Boebert, got thrown out of a production of Beetlejuice in a large Denver theater the other night for being a disturbance. She was vaping, filming the production, hooting and hollering, and loudly singing along. When security removed her she had the gall to pull the “do you know who I am?” card before flipping them off. It’s all on security cameras. She’s a piece of trash and I’m mortified she represents Colorado.
This is the state of the Republican Party now. Is there a word worse than deplorable to describe them?

About the Romney "dog" story... the Romney family was on their way to the family cottage when this occurred. The cottage is located just about 50 miles from we live in a Lake Huron resort area called Grand Bend. The Romney family has owned property there for generations.
Dan and I are VERY familiar with Grand Bend. We've camped many time in the large provincial park in the vicinity (The Pinery) and a local theatre, The Huron Country Playhouse, is a favourite of ours.
Of course Dan and I were rooting for Obama to win over Romney, but Dan said that if Romney did win, Grand Bend would probably become the official "summer White House". The Romney family spend most of their summers there (they are well-known in the area) and are spotted all the time in the restaurants and stores during the summer months.

An interesting note about Romney is that when he was governor in my state, Massachusetts, his administration created a public health care option and exchange to increase access to healthcare for all and reduce the # of people without health insurance coverage.
Every year taxpayers in Mass have to confirm health insurance coverage when they file their returns.
That approach to insurance and healthcare access was the template for the US ACA (Affordable Care Act) which was one of President Obama’s big accomplishments. The Republican who tore into “Obamacare” and campaigned against it seemed to forget it began as “Romneycare”. Some might have been against it on “small government” grounds, even though it benefited millions of people but they really hated it and tried unsuccessfully to undermine it and undo it because of blatant partisanship. Even though the ACA is not perfect, it is an improvement for many people.
Romney was not a great governor, but he got that right at least.

Wow! TikTok is really for idiots, doesn’t?
I guess it is similar to when some young idiots in America and Europe went to fight for ISIS! Well, they didn’t ended pretty well!
