so, apparently BC is going to DIRECT a big screen adaptation of Blake 7, with Tom Hardy, Paul Bethany, and Cate Blanchett. Due out in 2019.

That ānewsā is from The Studio Exec, a parody account. You know the one with the articles about a secret British actors club committing murders in Hollywood but getting away with them because they have charming accents. BC is the actual leader and he manipulated Tom Hiddleston into killing a swan in the UK as a challenge to be accepted in the club.
So itās fake!

Most of us have been taken in by some silly hoax at one time or another. Leave it up. Maybe we can come up with our own parodies of possible movies for Benedict to direct or act in.

Itās not stupidity! TBH I didnāt understand the joke. Maybe because Iām not familiar with the series but still I donāt know why itās suppose to be funny.
The swan/murder club articles are hysterical but this new post, I donāt know!

I figured that this was fake when it wasn't reported by anyone else.
But I don't understand it, either. Was Blakes 7 an actual tv show? I get that this is a parody site, but why is this supposed to be funny?

I donāt find it funny in the least but hereās something about Blake 7 for you -
I just copied a few things from the Wikipedia entry. There is lots more on it if you look in Wiki under the title āBlake 7ā.
I suppose it is because it has a Dr. Who connection? That and it was described by some as āclassically awfulā and underbudgeted for the scope of the show.

Blake's 7 is pretty popular. I've watched a bit of it a couple of years ago when I had finished Doctor Who cause I found out many of the people who were fans of Classic Who had watched this show once upon a time. I liked it, but I don't know why I stopped watching it. Its creator Terry Nation is better known as the man who invented the Daleks.
I don't really get the joke here though cause it's not actually as if BC has much connection to Doctor Who either (except the obvious Wholock...thing, which I've never been too fond of. And Wanda being on the show in the 60s/70s of course but that was just in a couple of stories IIRC.) I'd watch a Blake's 7 film though.
