I looked on IMDb and he is listed as being born in the UK, raised in the USA (he also got his MFA in acting from the University of Pittsburgh) and seems to have returned to the UK (he has done a fair number of guest roles in UK TV). He is best known (I guess) for the movie Kick Ass. He has done a lot of video game voice work at the beginning of his career. Here is the link - www.imdb.com/name/nm1485880/

So Nina Gold is working in it, too! TBF it seems she works in every UK production but still a lot of the very few leaked names in the crew are now regulars in Sunny March productions.

I'm not sure her character is a real life character. A 20-something female CIA lead operative in the 60s? It would be great if true! Of course!
If not then it's clear they will go for a politically correct fantasy which it's not necessary bad. We will see the finished product!
Also BC obviously talked extensively about her at the Emmys! Again he being transparent about a future project! The question is where is the Paul Thomas Anderson movie?
Maybe they are hiring a star for this role because the guy playing the Russian spy is not so famous? Maybe they will go for a Russian actor? Although they haven't announced him yet so maybe we will have another surprise soon...

I'm not sure her character is a real life character. A 20-something female CIA lead operative in the 60s? I thought the same. There are two books by G. Wynne.

I haven't read the books. I read a small summary on a book about famous spies and interesting enough, Greville Wynne was described as a fantasist and an alcoholic. He worked for the CIA, of course! That's true. But apparently a lot of the things he wrote on his books were exaggerated.
I'm not sure how they will presented him here but the ordinary middle-aged, middle-class man trapped in an extraordinary situation described recently by Dominic Cooke seems nearest to the true than the war hero he put on his books (apparently it was a lie that he worked for the CIA since WWII as he claimed. The press wrote then that he was actually a Marxist then!).
