I see, with the Friday estimates in today, that The Grinch NA Box Office is up to nearly $263 million. And its worldwide haul is just over $432 million. Not too shabby! 😊 I might add to that next week and go see it a third time! I’ll have to sneak out and see it in secret, though, so that no one finds out I’m seeing it again (Shhh - don’t tell anyone!)

Back to the movies today, but still didn't get to see this one. The younger child picked 'Spider-verse' and older one 'Holmes and Watson.' However if it's on Netflix during Christmas next year, I'm sure they'll watch it a million times then!

I don't like Home Alone, at all. As my dad described it, "it's just a bunch of people getting hurt." I tried again to watch it recently, only to realize 10 minutes in that the language was not anything I wanted my 7 year old to hear. Good riddance from the top spot (which should have been A Christmas Story, anyway.)

I haven’t watched Home Alone for years but yes, I remember that it was very violent movie...in a slapstick way, of course! But with seemingly painful consequences for the poor thieves.

Sure it is slapstick violence but I don't find that funny. A Christmas Story is one of my favourite films (not just Xmas films). I think it is timeless in its humour. All of the vignettes are funny but my favourite is "The Battle of the Lamp"! Fra-gil-ee! 🤣😃😅😂
